She watched him rub it in and felt the relief set in. She looked down at him and nodded. "Yeah. Thanks."

"Good." He was so worried about her he almost forgot about his own burn. "I hope it doesn't leave a mark." He tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. "But, even if it does, you'll still be beautiful."

Kate smiled. She looked over to his arm. "You need to get some on your arm." She took the tube and put some on her fingers. She gently grabbed his arm and rubbed it in carefully.

Blue’s world seemed to fracture just a little bit as he watched Vash hurt herself. It was just her and him, and Blue hadn’t even realized he got out of his father’s grip until he was grabbing Vash’s shoulders in desperation. Blue barely even felt the pain on his arm as he whispered in a panic, “Don’t do that for me, Vash, Vash, why did you do that?”
Blue’s father had been stunned, but after a few seconds he yanked Blue away, “We’re going f-cking home, get in the f-cking car. We’re are going to have a little f-cking chat.”

"No wait! Blue show him your arm." Now there was desperation in Vash's voice. I can't let him take blue. she felt a hint of anxiety set in. no not- no "just look at his arm!" Before she could stop herself she had reached out and put a hand on his fathers shoulder in hopes of stopping him.

"I forgot about my arm." As soon as Kate mentioned it, it started to sting. "You two already seem like a married couple." Ty jumprd at the sound of his grandmothers voice, he forgot she was there. "Ah, do we?" He rubbed the back of his neck with his free arm and blushed.

Blue’s father reacted so fast, Blue almost missed it. But he had saw the telltale signs, he saw it when his father jerked around. And shoved Vash away from them as his father’s arm came down at where Vash had just been standing. And then Blue was moving again, his father dragging him to the car and shoving him in the back seat. Blue fell on the floor just as the door was slammed shut and locked. Vash, gosh, if she called the police… They come to the house, they see so much… The car was already in motion by the time Blue scrambled to the window, looking to make sure Vash was still okay.

Kate looked up from rubbing in the cream. She had just finished when she heard Rose. "I- umm." She stumbled over her words. She wasn't sure what to say.

Vash fell back feeling the ground behind her before she knew what was happening. At this point people where staring. good. she thought before getting up and fishing a pen from her pocket, 'want me to call them? Or come over?' Her face was hot with anger and fear.

Ty had no idea what to say at this point, he was completely embarrassed. "Well, I'm going to my room." Rose stood up and left closing her door behind her. "I'm so, so sorry about that." He hid his face in the couch.

"It's okay," she said with a laugh in her voice. She ran her hand through his hair while his head was down.

"I mean, hopefully in the future we will be." He turned his head and smiled up at her. There was no one else he could imagine by his side for the rest of his life. "Definitely." He took her hand and kissed it.

Kate smiled, warmth spread up her arm from her hand. "I-" And there was the thought again. But now you have a reason to stay, don't you? "Yeah, I hope so too."

He was happy she could see him in her future. "Kate, I love you more than the world." He sat up on the couch and pulled her in for a kiss. Ty thinks that if they are together they can get through anything.

Blue fearfully curled up in the seat. His father was stringing out words that could curdle all the milk in the city limits. He felt his arm tingle and scooted his sleeve to look at the words Vash had sent him. He scooped a pen, something sitting on the floor of the car for a long time now, and sketched back quickly, don’t come over. If she got hurt- Blue fell into the side of the door as his father made a particularly sharp turn very quickly. They were only a few blocks… His father pulled into the driveway, and Blue shamedly got out of the car and beelined to the house. Blue’s father was right on his tail. As soon as that door closed behind him- (Trigger warning) Pain sparked through him as a fist landed on his side. He stumbled forward, and his father slammed him again, making him fall into the living room beside old empty bottles. Pain -oh, gosh, so much pain- assaulted him again and again. His father was shouting at him, but Blue couldn’t hear anymore words after his father had kicked him square in the ear. Then the chest. Then Blue’s abdomen. Then his back. He flopped over like a rag doll with every attack.

Kate kissed him, but for some reason she found herself hesitating. She didn't pull back, just something was off. Something…

He sighed and laid back on the couch. "I feel like I'm floating, getting all that off my chest makes me feel so much better." He grabbed her hand as he laid down.

"That's good." Him mentioning weight lifted off him made her suddenly feel the weight in her heart. Not now! "You can tell me anything." She gave him a smile.

"Oh, that reminds me, Serra and I are half siblings." He did say that he would tell her. Ty just couldn't believe that her own father would want to kill her, she is one of the best people Ty has the privilege of knowing and being related too. "You can also tell me anything okay?"

Kate was partially surprised that they were only half siblings, they seemed so close. Not only that, but her own father? She looked down to her hands which rested in her lap. How about later? She nodded. "Okay." Probably later.

"That's why we don't look much alike." He chuckled feeling much better. "It's getting dark, do you want to go back to Xavier's?" Plus, they had school tomorrow. Although he didn't want her to leave just yet.

"Do I want to go back?" She laughed lightly pushing her thoughts away. "No. But it is getting dark." Of course she didn't want to leave, but she was sure Ty was tired and she didn't want to keep him up.

"I'll drive you you home." Stood up and took her hand, he spun her around before leading her out the door. Opening the door he looked at her closely admiring her. He went to his side, stated the car and headed to Xavier's place.

Kate laughed as he spun her, dimples showing. She followed him out the car and got in. They drove as the stars developed the courage to shine. She looked out the window and sighed. It was always stars. She yawned gently as they drove past houses and trees. She had to admit, she was tired.

Ty drove slower once he knew he was nearing Xavier's, wanting to turn around and go back home and take her with him. "Here." He got out, so that he could opening the door for her. "I really don't want you go to."

She stayed in her seat. "I don't either." She'd rather be with Ty. Her eyes drooped slightly but she forced them open. "I really don't."

Ty pulled her out of the truck and carried her bridal style to the guest house. "You need sleep," He could tell she was trying her best to stay awake. Opening the door, he made sure she didn't hit her head on anything. "Do you want me to stay till you fall asleep?" He laid her down on the bed and sat next to her.

She nodded her head slowly. Once he laid her down, she relaxed, every bit of tension released. Hey eyes began to close. She wasn't quite sleeping yet, she was just there drifting through reality.

Ty just sat there making circles on the back on her hand wait for her to fall asleep, while trying not to fall asleep himself.

She watched as he drew circles with her eyes still partially open. She glanced to the window. No. The curtains were pulled shut. No. She couldn't see the stars. No. Her breathing quickened and her eyes opened wide. Where are the stars?! She could feel her throat closing up, every muscle in her body once again tightening. No. She sat up quickly chest rapidly rising and falling, searching for air. No. She was shaking. No. The curtains. She stood and almost ran to the window, breaking out into tears. No. Halfway along the way, she tripped making her fall to the ground. Her hands stopped her from her face meeting the floor. She looked up. They were closed, no magic had opened them. No. She tried to get up, but failed from her shaking. No!
