Liam closed his eyes for a moment before giving in, “Fine… I guess you can take a photo.”
Liam closed his eyes for a moment before giving in, “Fine… I guess you can take a photo.”
"Yay," Kasey giggled as she held the phone up. "Now smile, Liam. And open your eyes. I'd like to have a nice picture, please."
Liam opened and rolled his eyes before doing what he was told and smiling for the photo.
Kasey laughed a bit before taking the picture. She looked at it and smiled.
"There. That's nice, see?" she said, showing it to Liam.
Liam smiled a little but winced when he noticed how messy his hair looked, “You could have said my hair look terrible before the photo was taken…” He muttered, running a hand through it.
"No, it's cute! Leave it!" Kasey exclaimed, grabbing his hand to stop him.
Liam rolled his eyes, “Fine fine, whatever you say goes I guess.”
Kasey smiled and let his hand go, kissing his cheek before standing.
"Popcorn sound good to you?" she asked, going back to their earlier conversation.
“Yeah, that sounds good.” He said, smiling.
"Great. I'll be right back," Kasey said as she went into the kitchen. A couple of minutes later, she came back with a bowl of popcorn. She sat down beside Liam and set the bowl in her lap.
Liam rubbed his eyes, trying to wake himself up and took a handful of popcorn, yawning before he ate it, "Alright, I think I'm ready for the next film."
"You're definitely going to fall asleep," Kasey chuckled as she stood and put in Iron Man. "Don't worry, I'll wake you up if I have to."
Liam rolled his eyes but smiled sleepily, "You'll do no such thing." He replied, taking some more popcorn.
"Okay, I'll watch you sleep all cute and stuff," Kasey laughed, leaning into his side as she tossed a few pieces of popcorn into her mouth.
"I'm not a cute sleeper…" Liam mumbled, resting his head on the back of the couch.
"How would you know?" Kasey asked, giving him a look. "Have many out-of-body experiences?"
"No… oh, shut up." Liam grumbled, taking a handful of popcorn and popping it in his mouth, trying to focus on the movie.
"I win!" Kasey giggled, throwing her fist in the air.
"No, no you don't." Liam said, grabbing her hand and lowering it.
"But I do," Kasey countered, sticking her tongue out. "You gave up."
"Fine… whatever." He muttered, distracting himself with the popcorn.
Kasey frowned a bit, worried she'd upset him. She sighed and leaned back into the couch, resting her head on Liam's shoulder.
Liam placed a kiss to her head before turning back to the film, a small smile on his face until he eventually, drifted off to sleep.
Kasey smiled at the kiss. She must not have upset him too much, then, if at all. Tapping her foot with restless energy, she continued to watch the movie, even though the others were sleeping.
About an hour later Liam jerked awake and for a few moments forgot where he was. After realising he was at Kasey’s apartment he rubbed his face, trying to calm his breathing.
Kasey had changed her position, now sitting with one led tucked under herself. She glanced over at Liam when he woke up.
"Hey. You missed most of the movie," she said quietly. Noticing his look, she asked, "You okay?"
Liam nodded, "Yeah, yeah. I'm fine." He said, rubbing at his neck, "Yeah…" He looked over and gave her a smile.
Kasey smiled back gently. "If you're sure… Are you sure you don't want to go back to your place to sleep? I won't be offended if you say yes."
Liam smiled and lent back on the couch, pulling Kasey over so she was lying on top of him, "I'm sure. I wouldn't want to cut my time with you short now would I?"
(Australian past tense verbs are weird…)
A light blush made its way to Kasey's cheeks as she pressed a soft, quick kiss to Liam's lips.
"Okay," she whispered, smiling.
