“Pancakes sounds good to me.” He said, leaning against the counter top.
“Pancakes sounds good to me.” He said, leaning against the counter top.
"Good because that's the best thing I can make for breakfast from scratch," Kasey laughed, starting to get the food ready. "Do you want to help?"
“Sure thing, wouldn’t do you need me to help you with?” He asked, walking to the other side of the counter.
"Um… Eggs? Two of them. They're in the fridge, left side, second shelf," Kasey said, pulling out the flower and such. "Oh, and can you get the milk while you're in the fridge?"
Liam nodded, “Alrighty.” He did as he was told and walked to the fridge, removing the eggs and the milk and placing them on the counter.
"Thanks. Can you crack the eggs into a bowl and put a cup of milk in as well?" Kasey asked as she measured out the flour and other dry ingredients.
Liam nodded again and cracked the eggs over the side of the bowl, out the shells in the bin the measured the milk.
Kasey hummed as she mixed the ingredients together. When she was finished mixing everything, she poured batter into a skillet.
"Looking good." Liam said, peering over her shoulder.
"Oh, thanks," Kasey said, glancing over at Liam with a smile. "I hope they turn out good. It would be really sad if they didn't…"
"It's no big deal if they don't. We can also make another batch, or make something else…" He smiled, "Do you have any bacon? Pancakes, bacon and maple syrup is the best."
Kasey grinned. "That's a great idea. It's in the bottom right drawer if the refrigerator," she directed him.
Liam nodded and walked over to the fridge, opening the door and crouching down to find the bacon. He hummed one of his songs to himself while he looked before finding it, and taking it to Kasey.
"What's that you're humming?" Kasey asked, smiling at Liam as she grabbed a pan to fry the bacon in. She held it out to Liam, hoping he would do it so that she could focus on the pancakes.
Liam took it and stopped humming, become embarrassed and felt his cheeks heat up, "N-Nothing, just a song…" He muttered, starting to cook the bacon.
"Well, it was really good. If you're ever up for it, could you play it for me?" Kasey questioned, her smile turning encouraging.
Liam's blush deepened, "I-I mean… s-sure, y-yeah." He kept his gaze on the bacon trying not to look too embarrassed.
"Cool," Kasey said as she flipped the pancakes on the skillet.
Liam went back to humming the song as the bacon sizzled away and finished cooking.
Kasey flipped the last of the pancakes and stacked them on top of the others once they finished cooking.
"All right, they're done!" she declared, picking the plate up and bringing it out to the table. She went back into the kitchen to grab a plate for Liam and one for herself, as well as maple syrup and a pair of cups, all of which she set in the dining room table.
"Great." Liam grabbed a plate and placed the bacon on it, bringing it over to the table and placing it in the center.
"Mmm, that smells so good," Kasey said, closing her eyes as she took in the bacon smell. She opened them again to smile at Liam. "Have as many pancakes as you want. I made plenty."
Liam nodded and smiled at her before sitting down, "Alright, the pancakes look great by the way." He said, taking a few.
(Sorry, I fell asleep! Lol.)
"Thanks. I hope they taste as good as they look," Kasey said as she sat down across from Liam and placed two pancakes and a couple of slices of bacon on her plate. After drizzling maple syrup on the pancakes she started to eat them. They were actually pretty good!
Oh, thank goodness.
“These are great!” Liam said, taking a couple bites of the food.
"Thanks. I… don't really cook for other people, so I'm glad you like it," Lilah admitted shyly. She giggled and pointed to Harper, who was somehow still asleep on the couch. "Except for that freeloader. But he's a special case."
(Lilah??)
Liam laughed, “That’s true, I’m glad you cooked for me, though.”
(Holy frick. I'm in too many RPs…)
Kasey turned back to smile at Liam. "You're a special case, too. But a different kind of special," she said quietly.
(Same)
“What kind of special?” He asked, raising an eyebrow but a smile was plastered to his face.
Kasey blushed, even as her smile grew.
"He's the brother-gets-to-sleep-on-the-couch special, but you… You're the stop-to-pick-flowers, stay-up-late-watching-movies-and-cuddling, falling-asleep-together kind of special."
