she nodded "Ok this is going to sound strange…" she pulled up her sleeves to show the crackled scars "I was struck by lightning…"

"That is not strange." He pointed out, crossing the room. "That is very concerning. You alright?"

"i mean i feel fine…" she put her hand on the cash register and her scars heated up as a bolt of electricity causing it to catch fire and made a rather large bang "HOLY FUCK!!!" she ducked under the counter

His eye went wide. "What did you do?" He shrieked awkwardly and backed up from it.

she slowly got back up and walked away from it "i don't know… i just…. i just put my hand on it and just suddenly felt pain and that happened…" she seemed utterly confused and looked back at her scars.

"Well put it out somehow at least!" He pointed at the burning register. "There has to be a extinguisher somewhere!" He frantically started searching.

she quickly ran to the back and found a fire extinguisher and fumbled with it but put out the flames "ok… if anyone asks it was like that when we got here… god this is weird…"

"I don't think anyone will ask! There is no one here! Anywhere!" Tom was now freaking out. He cradled his head in his hands.

"No… no… nothing seems right at all! You were struck by lightning! I fell down the stairs and we both ended up here!" Tom argued, still cradling his head in his hands, tugging at his eyepatch.

"look just calm down." she was beginning to shake with anxiety "just… calm down, us panicking doesn't do any good for the both of us." she tried to slow her breathing "we can… try and look for someone." she suggested "we can try that as we try to calm the fuck down…"

"yeah…" Tom muttered, lifting his head up.

"so where should we check first?"

"Uh…" The dark haired boy looked around. "Middle of town i suppose… just walk around…" He turned and pushed the door open gently.

Seraph nodded "good idea." she said following close behind him

He wandered into the road that was completely empty, no motors, no sirens, no honks. It was deathly quiet, only birds flew above, perching on powerlines condescending on the two people.

"everyone is just… gone… everyone has just disappeared…" she looked around at the birds that were staring at them "maybe… this is limbo."

"L-limbo?" He stuttered. "No…" Did i die? is this death? What about Audra? She's probably missing me, right?

"shit, sorry. this can't be limbo." she shook her head "it can't be, no way limbo would look like just another earth…"
