“Pardon me, but smoke for you? What does that mean?” Cameron tilted his head, his wide, dog-like eyes halariously matching with the gesture.

Cameron blinked at her. “You just saw me smiling, though.”
Ooh, are you pushing her away?
No… I just… don't want to bore her more!

"Okay? So? I like your smile…" Lilah trailed off with a shrug, blushing.

Cameron couldn’t help grinning at that. “You do?”

"There it is!" Lilah exclaimed, grinning. "And yes, I do."

Cameron’s grin grew more, yet more bashful. “Should we continue walking back? It’s just up this hill.”

"Yes, definitely," Lilah agreed with a nod as she stepped out of his way.

Cameron grabbed her hand and led her up the steep path that was totally there earlier. Finally, after a few minutes of breathless climbing, they reached the top.

"Geez louise…" Lilah muttered when they reached the top.

Cameron rubbed her back, catching his breath easily. “You okay, Lilah?”

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just… don't get out much," she laughed a bit.

Cameron laughed too. “Well, we’re going to change that, aren’t we?”

"I certainly hope so!" Lilah giggled. "I mean, we could stay in my garden, but that would be boring."

Cameron chuckled and nudged her. “Nah, we’ll walk around, enjoy the sceneries our kingdoms supply!”

Lilah cheered quietly. "Sounds great!"

Cameron beamed at her and grabbed her hand again. “Meanwhile, air conditioning sounds good right now. Afternoon heat here is awful.”

(I might disappear sometime between now and in two hours.)

"Oof, yeah. That does sound nice," Lilah agreed.

Cameron started walking, practically dragging her along with him. “We gotta hurry though,” he said, as if justifying for his speed, “temperatures climb up fast.”

"Hey, slow down!" Lilah laughed. "I don't run, remember?"

“Do you want to sweat your face off instead?” Cameron countered with a grin.

"I'll end up sweating either way!" Lilah exclaimed, grinning.

(Incredibly, but andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)’s doing his best.)

“The faster you go, the least you’ll sweat!” Cameron wisely exclaimed over his shoulder.

(Exactly.)

"Not true!" Lilah called up to him. "I'll just sweat more the faster I go!"

“Well, the slower you’ll go, the more the heat’ll sneak up on you!” Cameron moved faster, still dragging her by the hand.

"Nooooooooo. But… Ugh," Lilah gave up.
