Cameron grunted softly in response and put the puppy down.
Lily barked happily and ran about the room, sticking her muzzle in the wrappers of candy and bags of chips.

Lilah bit her lip as she looked at Cameron. "Do you want to talk about it?" she whispered.
Cameron sighed and sat down next to Lilah. “It’s just… really frusturating.” He shook his head, defeated.
“I really, truly, don’t like it. They’re just…” He inhaled.
"Hey, it'll be okay," Lilah comforted him, taking his hand in her own. "I'm sure of it."
Cameron exhaled through his nose. “Yep… you’re right…”
Lily bounded over to the pair, panting.
Lilah gave Lily a sad smile. She was worried about Cameron. He said as being quieter than usual, and he seemed upset. She didn't know how to help him, though.
With a sigh, she laid her head on his shoulder.
Cameron glanced at her, momentarily distracted. Slowly, but surely, he put an arm around her.
(Sorry for these terrible two-liners)
(Nah, it's cool. As long as it's not just one. Lol.)
"Is there anything I can do to help you?" Lilah whispered, leaning into him.
(^-^)
Cameron shook his head. “No… that always happens. I’ll just have to wait it out…”
Lilah hummed in acknowledgment. "If you're sure… Hey, what happened to Lily? I haven't heard her in a while…"
Lily borked at her name. She was sitting in front of them, panting.
Cameron glanced down at her. “She’s… certainly quiet.”
"Yeah, she is," Lilah agreed. "You know… Animals can sense your moods. Especially dogs."
Lily wiggled and borked softly, jumping on Cameron’s legs.
Cameron chuckled gently and patted his lap, where Lily jumped. He scratched behind her ears. “Good girl.”
Lilah smiled as she reached over and scratched behind Lily's ears. "Hey, Lily. Who's a good puppy?"
(When your friends are texting the group chat nonstop about middle names for future kids…)
(bro who does that)
Lily borked at her and started licking her fingers.
Cameron pulled the pup away. “Nooo, no licking.”
(Ugh, this is slow again… I swear I had this written, like, 10 minutes ago.)
"It's fine if she licks my fingers. Just not my face," Lilah laughed, using both hands to ruffle the puppy's face.
(That was the suckiest description I've ever written…
Lol. My friends do, that's who. They're all obsessed with having kids. Me, I just want to get married; kids are an added bonus.)
(I know i had like, 3 APP problems just to get over here to responddddd)
Lily broke away from Lilah’s hands and started barking loudly, jumping around on Cameron’s lap.
Cameron grabbed the pup the third time she hopped into the air. “Let’s not do that, girl.”
(Lol. And now it's fast again.)
Lilah laughed as she watched the puppy jumping around.
"Maybe she needs to go outside again," she suggested. "Puppy's have small bladders, after all…"
(So much confusion)
Cameron sighed and set Lily down on her back, where she wiggled violently.
“Nah, she peed on Mum’s carpeting in her room, like I thought.”
(Ugh, right? Lol.)
Lilah raised an eyebrow as she smiled down at the wriggling puppy.
"Won't she be upset about that?" she asked, glancing back over at Cameron.
Cameron sighed. “She will, yes, but she’s off with Darren,” Cameron’s voice had a tone of anger and disgust Lilah hadn’t heard before. Sure, boredom was bad on his pretty, deep voice, but disgust and anger made it almost unrecognizable.
(Stealing Target's wifi. Lol. My sister is shopping and I'm the chauffeur…)
Lilah looked up from Lily in surprise. "Who's Darren, if you don't mind my asking?" she asked quietly.
(Ahahaaaaa free wifi)
Cameron put his hands on Lily’s tummy, who flailed more. His disgusted expression didn’t waver.
“My step-dad. I call him Darren because… I just don’t like him.”
(Lol. Yup. It's great.)
"Oh. I can understand that," Lilah said, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder.
Cameron sighed. He let his hands up off of the puppy, who wiggled up to her feet with difficulty.
“Thanks,” He breathed, sighing as he said it. “It’s really awful. Everytime I go to talk to him, he treats me like I’m six, or I’m just not there.”
"If you ever need to talk or anything, you've got my number. Feel free to call anytime. I'll listen if you need to talk," Lilah offered, giving his shoulder a light squeeze.
Cameron nodded with a faint grin. “Thanks, Lilah. That… that means a lot.”
Lilah smiled and held her arms open. "Need a hug?"
Cameron blinked at her for a few moments as if he’d never heard of a hug before. “Yeah, actually.” He grinned again and hugged her, wrapping his arms around her back and leaning forward to set his chin on her shoulder.
Lilah grinned as she embraced Cameron. She leaned her head against his. "Hugs are nice, huh?"
