Violet blushed. "Thanks, guys…"
Violet blushed. "Thanks, guys…"
(I almost let Nicholai curse but didn't know if it was allowed)
(Please don't, thanks!)
(That's why I wanted to ask!)
(Thanks for asking!! :D)
"You shouldn't be thanking us - we're not lying, after all! You did great!" Alya giggled.
She fought herself not to contradict them again. She tried to change the subject. "Uh… how was the English assignment?"
Jason sighed. "English is such a confusing language."
"How?" Violet asked. She nibbled on her sandwich.
"Nothing is constant. Everything breaks one rule or another." Jason took a bite of his food.
Violet was about to respond when the lunch bell rang. "Already?" she asked, quickly finishing her sandwich.
“Yup. Gotta get to class.” Alya grabbed her bag and patted Violet’s head. “See you after school, girl!”
"See ya, Alya!" Violet called after her friend, grinning. She threw away her trash and practically waltzed down the hallway.
time skip? //
Yeah//
After school, the four were going to Violet's house to help her prepare for a competition.
Violet pulled into her driveway. She turned off the engine, threw her backpack over her shoulder, and walked up to the door to unlock it.
“Hey, girl!” Alya walked up the drive and stood next to Violet. “Vi, I need to talk to you about something.”
"Yeah?" Violet asked, opening the door and stepping into the cool AC. "What is it?"
"Oh, that feels good. Anyway," Alya began, kicking off her shoes, "It's about Jason."
(I have a tonnnnnn of school work so I'll probably be gone until tomorrow)
okay //
Violet tried to stop the instant blush at the mention of his name. "What about Jason?"
"See, you just blushed. I see the way you look at him." She lowered her voice. "Do you like him? You can tell me anything, Vi. I won't blab to him or even Nick!"
Violet couldn't think of any way to avoid the question. Alya had asked it directly, in traditional Alya fashion. "Yes… yeah… I- I guess."
"I knew it!" She snapped her fingers. "To be honest, I don't blame you. And how about this? A secret for a secret. I believe that I may be developing something for Nick." She giggled. "So, homework time?"
"Aly! You can't just say something like that! When?" Violet prodded.
"One, I just did. Two, since the middle of summer." She grinned.
Violet's jaw dropped. "No… How did I not notice?!" She flung her hands in the air.
"Too busy dancing, I guess." Alya laughed the comment off, unloading her backpack. "It might just be fantasies, but…I think we might have something going." She glanced towards the door. "If he came in just then…"
At that moment there was a knock at the front door.
(Yup I can't help being cliche)
(ah)
Alya jumped, nearly falling backwards. "The door is soundproof…right?" She asked nervously.
