Sure, payback for you drenching me. Tanrial grinned.

Oh boy. Bernon landed and let his wings disappear. "How'd you make that sword?" he asked as he walked over. "Is that something I can learn? Or do you think I should just pretend I have a weapon?"
"Just use the water, imagine it forming the sword and then it solidifying." Tanrial shrugged and rolled her shoulders back as her wings formed.
"Oh right. Got it." Bernon did so, concentrating until the sword was sharp and smooth. "All right, here we go. Bet I'll hit you on my first try," he teased.
"We'll see." She replied, giving him a smile before soaring into the air. Ready?
Heck yeah. Bernon hefted the sword and watched Tanrial carefully.
(brb, back in a few)
(okie)
Tanrial circled the other a few times before diving low, wings tucked in as she headed straight for Bernon.
Bernon braced himself, waiting for the right moment before swinging at her with his sword.
At the last second, Tanrial swooped round to the right, hoping she was out of attack range.
Nice dodge. Although I don't practice with swords very often, so maybe I'm just bad at this. Bernon twirled his blade like a baseball bat, lining up for another try. Have a go at hitting me in my blind spot this time.
Yes Sir. Tanrial flew back up and looped round, making sure she was in Bernon's blind spot before diving again, kicking him in the process. Sorry!
Bernon stumbled. Oof. Don't worry, it's fine. I think that might be a winning tactic, to come from behind like that.
Tanrial landed in front of Bernon, "Possibly, sorry for kicking you like that."
"Nah, you're good. That's what training's all about, right?" Bernon rubbed his shoulder and grinned. "What do you want to do next?"
Tanrial shrugged, "Not sure. How's your control coming along with the lightning?"
"Well, I haven't practiced since yesterday, but better I think." Bernon cupped his hands and summoned a coiling fizzle of electricity, allowing it to wrap around his fingers. "I haven't really tried to use it in a combat situation yet, that sounds kind of daunting. I'm not sure how I'd practice that without hurting someone or destroying something."
"Try it on me. I don't care if you hurt me on accident… well, maybe a little but it's not like you're doing it on purpose." Tanrial crossed her arms.
Bernon swallowed. "This should motivate me to stay in control…..Lemme test it a bit first." Tentatively, he rolled up the lighting and flicked a thin tendril of it to hit Tanrial's arm. "How did that feel?"
"Weird. Kinda warm, and it stung a little but it didn't hurt," She replied, "Do it again but a little more."
"Okay…." Bernon tried again with a bit more electricity. "Just let me know the second it hurts too bad, and I'll stop."
Tanrial nodded, "Alright… keep going, it still doesn't hurt that much."
(sorry, gotta go, seeya later!)
(Okay, seeya! ^^)
Bernon made a larger tendril and slowly increased the voltage, carefully letting it go higher and higher.
Tanrial winced once but let Bernon keep going for a time until finally she pulled her arm away, "Okay… I give."
Bernon immediately closed his hands around the lightning and snuffed it out. "I'll try to remember how much that was and then use just a little more when I'm attacking. I don't want to go much higher though, in case I kill someone." He sighed. "Hey Tanrial, can I trust you with a bit of a confession?"
Tanrial nodded, "Of course you can, what's up?"
He looked down. "I….don't really want to do this. You know I've never been much one for fighting, but I can't see how we could avoid it this time. I just….I don't want to hurt people. Even people that do bad things." Bernon shuffled his feet. "Don't mention it to Mike, he'd brush me off like usual. I guess I'm just having trouble matching my actions with my standards right now."
"I won't mention it to him. I know you don't want to do this, but if we don't then there will be some serious trouble, more then the world needs right now. Sometimes… sometimes we have to do what's right even if we don't want to." Tanrial said gently.
"Yeah." Bernon took a deep breath. "I suppose you're probably right. Thanks." Straightening, he shook himself. "Well, what next? Shall we go see if Mike's drowning or something?"
