Kate was surprised at first, but she quickly caught up to reality. She wrapped her arms around him, pulling into the warmth. Time seemed to stop as their lips met. They kissed for a few moments until her chest ached for air. She pulled apart for a moment and placed her forehead on his and took a breath, eyes closed.
Ty was so happy he didn't even really know what was going on in the moment. "Sorry, I was trying to save our first kiss for somewhere more romantic, but…" He wanted to lay next to her, but also just wanted to kiss her again, he ended up just staying over her with his forehead against hers.
"I don't know, I think it's romantic." Kate could hear the happiness in his voice. Hopefully he could hear hers. It was like the stars had pulled them together through everything, good and bad, just for this moment, and now, they couldn't be torn apart.
"My grandma's house, romantic?" He chuckled and decided to lay next to her. "I think not. Man, I should've waited to make it more memorable somehow." When it came to Kate, Ty wanted everything to be perfect so he wouldn't screw things up. He covered his eyes with his arm. He was always so scared of messing things up, that he almost didn't even get to have a relationship with her in the first place.
"Hey." She lifted up his arm so she could see his eyes. "It's not where we are, it's that we are." She laughed. "I love you whether or not we're in your grandma's house, okay?" She leaned over and gave him a small kiss to prove it.
He smiled into the kiss. "I guess you're right." He pulled her onto his lap so they were facing each other, and he buried his face into Kate's shoulder. "I love you." He had to say it one more time to make sure that she heard him.
Kate leaned on him as he did on her. Ut was like the beginning of a house of cards: two set up against one another, dependant on each other for support. Except here, they were strong. For once in her life, she didn't feel fragile.
Serra snuck out and joined in on the hug. Everything just felt perfect in this moment. He had Kate and Serra, now all he needed was his Grandmother and Xavier for this to feel finished. "Hi Serra." His little sister smiled. "You can't keep pretty Kate all to yourself."
"Aww!" Kate brought Serra in, and in that moment, she could see it. She could see her and Ty starting a family, a house of cards, each card building strengty wuth each card. She caught herself. Don't get ahead of yourself, you're still kids. She smiled. Live in the moment.
"Hm. She is my girlfriend, so I can keep her to myself if I want." He pulled Kate closer to him, the Serra did the same. The siblings were hard core staring each other down, not wanting to share Kate.
Kate laughed. She's never really had anyone fight for her before. It felt good in a strange way. "Alright, alright you two!" She laughed again. "Listen: sharing is caring, right?" She looked back and forth between them.
"I shouldn't I have to share my girlfriend with my little sister." He laughed. "But if you say so." He let go of their hug and just let Serra hug her as he leaned back on his elbows. He just smirked up at her.

“As long as you’re ready,” Blue replied with a smile, standing up and knotting the sweatshirt around his shoulders. He took Vash’s hand, drawing small circles on it with his thumb as he stated, “It’s like magic.”

Vash swung their hands like many times before and hummed to herself. Content with the quiet. The sounds of nature around them. The crunching of dirt under their feet, and the sounds blues breath. Everything.
Kate had memories float back at Serra hugged her. She closed her eyes and a tear slowly fell. She quickly wiped it away, not that it was a sad tear, in fact, it was quite the opposite. It reminded her of the good things.
Serra laid her head on Kate's lap and looked up at her. "You won't leave my brother right?" Her voice came out innocently. Serra didn't her brother to loose anyone ever again.
"I have no reason to." She looked at her. It was worried. She looked over to Ty. "I have every reason to stay." She gave him a warm before reaching for his hand.
He smiled back and intertwined his fingers with hers. "Yay! I want a-" With his other hand Ty covered Serra's mouth, he knew his sister so well he already knew what she was going to say. Ty was honestly scared of having a family, thinking he wouldn't be a good father, becuase of what he grew up with, but this right here made him want one.
Kate laughed. She could guess what Serra was going to say. She's never thought of having a family before this. She always thought she'd just walk off beneath the stars and never return, walking from one city to the next. Even now it seems premature. But for some reason, it felt right.
"You two should just get married now, then adopt me and Inwont have to leave with mom again." She jumped into both their arms. "Serra.." Ty hugged Serra and Kate. He wishes he could, but he wasn't sure that's how things work.
Kate wouldn't hesitate to help Serra, adopt her even. "But we're a little too young for that." She laughed gently while Ty pulled them in. She was about to say "when we get older" but she stopped herself. If she made a promise she wasn't necessarily bound to, it wouldn't end well. Empty promises always scared her, especially if it dealt with her future, something she'd been planning for the entirety of her life. 'How do I stay in one place?' She'd written before she met Ty. 'How do I stay in a place where the people who know my name don't deserve to?' But now, with everything falling into the way it is, she wasn't sure.
"I don't want to go home with mom." Ty gave Kate a look, saying it was going to get worse tomorrow. And hopefully she caught on to it because that's why he was going to need her tomorrow. "I want to stay with you Ty." Serra moved from Kate and Ty to just Ty. "I know, I know."
Kate saw the look on his face. This is why he needs me tomorrow. "Serra, if-"

The trail ended too quickly, making Blue frown. He looked Vash, not realizing he was staring. She was just alway pretty, it made his heart flutter. But a nagging thought hung in the back of his mind, making him chew his lip subconsciously.
Kate saw the look on his face. This is why he needs me tomorrow. "Serra, if it helps any, I'll be here tomorrow." She wasn't sure if that would help, but she could always try.
Serra just clung to Ty even more. Tyhugged her back and laid his head on her's. "I'm sorry." If he didn't do what he did two years ago this wouldn't have happened. "But, you have to go back with mom. There's nothing I can do about it."
Kate wasn't sure what to say. She wanted to comfort them both, knowing that neither wanted Serra to leave, but she wasn't sure how. She ended up just sitting there, trying to think of how to help.
'It's okay.' Ty mouthed to Kate. He could tell, that she wanted to help. "Anyway, you'll see me soon. How about we go shopping like you wanted." Serra immediately jumped up and ran to her room her to grab shoes. "Guess were going shopping." He stood and held out his hand to help Kate stand.
Kate took his hand and stood up, giving him a small kiss on the cheek as she came up. "Never really been shopping with anyone else." She smiled at him, glad it would be with him.
"Sorry I had to drag you along. There's this really cute lake town about an hour away that we always go shopping at then we go swimming and have lunch at the lake." He could see her fitting in there, because it was small and cute and the people were nice. "I hope you don't mind going on another drive."
