Seth nods and smiles a little. "Thank you love." He whispers.
Seth nods and smiles a little. "Thank you love." He whispers.
Zackary nodded, keeping his gaze on the road. “You’re welcome.”
Seth sighs softly and leans against the window, watching the world go by.
Soon they made it to Jace’s school, where Jace ran over immediately.
Seth smiles, "Hey little man!" He says cheerfully.
Jace giggled and hugged Seth. “Hi Mr. Demon Daddy! Hi Daddy!”
Seth hugs him back. "So Zackary. Should I tell him, you or both?" He asks.
“Let’s just get him into the car, and you can explain.”
Seth nods and helps Jace into the car, humming softly, before joining Zackary in the front. "Well, Jace. You're getting brothers." He says, smiling towards the small boy in the back. "Their names are Neo and Met, they'll be joining the family, if that's alright with you."
Jace blinked at Seth, confusing glistening in his gaze. “How old are they?” He squeaked the question.
Zackary chuckled. “They’re not in school, by the look of it, so maybe around eighteen.”
Jace’s mouth fell open. “What? That’s so old!”
"Yes," Seth says, smiling a little bit more, "but we think having some brothers around would be fun for you." Seth says gently. "And the twins don't have a home or a caring family."
Jace tilted his head. “But where would they live? Surely they have some kind of family!”
"They do have a home, but they don't have parents." Seth explains. "And we want to bring them into our family." Seth smiles at Jace.
Jace tilted his head. “Why don’t they have parents?”
Seth bites his lips and looks at Zackary. "Well… It really depends."
Zackary glanced at Seth, telling him he wandered into that trap by himself.
Jace tilted his head the other way. “What depends?”
Seth sighs, glaring at Zackary playfully before turning to Jace. "It really depends on the parents. They could have not wanted the child, or something happened and they. Couldn't take care of the child." He explains softly. He didn't want to say that parents would die too, leaving the children with no home if they didn't have a living relative who wanted them.
Jace blinked thoughtfully. “Oh, okay, then. So will I meet them today?”
Seth nods. "Yes, you will. We're actually going to pick them up." He says ruffling Jace's hair affectionately.
Zackary glanced at Seth, an eyebrow raised. “We’ll have to go and get them clothing, furniture and such. I could clean out our guest bedrooms…”
"Alright." Seth smiles a little. "But shouldn't we get clothing for them after we adopt them, that way they can choose?" He asks.
Zackary nodded. “Of course, that’s the logical thing to do.”
Seth smiles a little and kisses Zackarys hand.
Zackary rolled his eyes and set the hand back on the wheel.
Jace merrily hummed to the song on the radio, kicking his legs to the beat.
Seth looks out the window, sighing softly.
After a bit of driving, they arrived at the orphanage. It was small, and it blended in quite well in the forest, which is why people usually drive past it.
Zackary got out and helped Jace, gazing at the orphanage, memories welling up from the back of his mind.
Seth looks up when they stop and smiles a little, getting out of the car. He walks beside Zackary and Jace. He looks at Zackary, gently kissing his cheek.
Zackary grabbed Jace’s hand and pushed open the doors to the vistor’s office.
A woman of about 50 glanced up from a clipboard, a pair of rimless glasses hanging off of the tip of her nose.
“Welcome, sirs. Would would you like?”
Seth takes Zackarys hand. "We're looking for two boys. They go by the names Neo and Met?" He asks softly.
She nodded. “Yeah, they’re here. Whaddya want with them?”
