Met cleared his throat gently. One would be able to realize, that was the most he talked in front of Seth before.
Met cleared his throat gently. One would be able to realize, that was the most he talked in front of Seth before.
Seth smiles, mentally taking note of the fact. He tilts his head towards the car, "Alright, let's go." He says cheerfully.
Met nodded and grabbed the keys carefully off of the shelf. He gave them to Seth when he approached.
Seth smiles gently at the other before walking towards the car.
Met tailed him and sat quietly down in the front, staring at his long, pale fingers.
“So… how much should I spend?” He adressed his fingers, rather than Seth, apparently nervous sitting there in the front seat.
Seth smiles a little, "As much as you'd like." He says gently. "When it comes to books, I don't mind."
Met nodded earnestly at his fingers. “Okay. Thank you.”
Seth chuckles, smiling softly as he pulls out of the driveway.
Met inhaled gently and looked out the window, watching the world go by. The trees, the streetsigns…
(Please do remember my request ^-^. This is your RP but)
(Oh! Sorry. I'm so tired at the moment. I'm exhausted.)
Seth pulls into a small looking shop. The air around it wafted with the faint smell of Coffee. Upon entering it, a coffee bar was on the side, and books on the other.
(Oh I’m sorry!)
Met glanced around, the scent of coffee ticking his nose. It was strange, smelling it again, since he always smelled it on volunteers at the orphanage, but never had any.
(It's totally fine. It's just someone close passed away and I haven't slept since they passed.)
Seth smiles, "This is my favorite place to come to read books, and they have a new selection every day. You can buy a book, rent it, etc." He chuckles and takes a deep breath of air that smelled like coffee and paper.
(I’m so sorry for your loss. Try and get some rest soon, though, okay? Grief is rough, but you can’t let your body hurt itself because of it.)
Met nodded and glanced around, catching gaze at the books. “So… is that it, or are there more?”
(I have insomia, so and mixed with grief it doesn't help, but I'm seeing a therapist tonight and a psychiatrist tomorrow. And thank you for your concern!)
"There are movies in the back, but not the same amount, but you're welcome to do whatever." Seth offers a kind smile.
(Aw great! I hope it goes well. No problem!)
Met wringed his fingers together nervously. “Whatever? What does that mean?”
"You're free to do what you want to." He says, smiling a little. He tilts his head, "By the way, Met. I'm taking a wild guess here, but you're not fully human are you?" He asks gently.
Met peered at him. “No, I’m a Mind Reader. Neo and I both are.” He shrugged. “We’re really close to human, though… it’s no reason for me to act the way I do…” He sighed heavily. “Neo says there are a lot of reasons I should, though, yet my magic is not one of those reasons…”
Seth nods and smiles a little bit. "A mind reader. Quite a gift, Met." He replies. He felt a rush of longing. He had lost his abilities when his demon side disappeared. He smiles thinly. "Let's check out the books, hmm?" He asks happily.
Met nodded. “Yes, let’s.” He glanced over to the books again, wondering which one he should get.
He chuckles and nods walking towards the book. He scans them with interest, his finger running over the spines of the book.
Met curiously examined the books, secretly wanting them all. Fiction novels always caught his interest, since fiction was imagination; something he didn’t study.
He grabs a few books before settling down. He looks around and smiles when he sees Met.
Met dipped his head down to a rather thick book he selected, peering carefully at the thin text. The way his shoulders hunched forward over the book, and basically his whole body made it look like he was trying to shield others from realizing he was reading something.
Seth smiles a little at Met's back before flipping to the first page of his book. He hums softly as he does so, sighing peacefully.
Met stood there for quite some time until the bones in his legs were creaking and groaning for a break from his weight. Met looked up, glancing around for Seth, or somewhere to sit.
Seth looks up and waves Met over to his table. He sets his book down, marking his place. "Do you want coffee or a drink?" He asks, standing a little.
Met bit his lip a little nervous and wandered over. "A drink? Um… no, no thanks." Met shook his head, denying the drink, even though he was wholly parched.
"Water then?" Seth asks, smiling a little. He stretches a little, sighing happily.
Met shook his head. "Nothing, please." He set his book down carefully and straightened up, ready to walk with Seth.
He nods and smiles, "I'll just get some water for myself then." He shrugs and smiles a little.
