"Pink roses, huh?" He looked at her with a grin. "Have you ever tried growing them?"
"Pink roses, huh?" He looked at her with a grin. "Have you ever tried growing them?"
Lilah shook her head with a sigh. "No. My parents say that it would be too much work to keep them nice. And the gardeners don't know where to put them…"
Cameron nodded. "That sucks, I bet."
I'll get her some roses and… and… I don't know but I'll do something with roses.
Okay, but why?
(Lol. Cameron's thoughts.)
"Yeah. I wish I could grow them, but…" Lilah shrugged. "Whatever."
Cameron glanced at her.
Well you have to.
But… whyyyy???
Because you love her!
I can't do that!
Do what?
LOVE HER!
"I could grow some for you," Cameron blurted out suddenly.
Lilah's eyebrows shot up. "Really? You'd do that for me?"
He's so sweet!
Isn't he, tho?
I thought we were supposed to argue.
Not when we're both right.
(Not when we're both right xD)
Cameron nodded. "Of course I would!" He grinned at her.
What are you thinking?
What? I'll just buy some seeds, take care of them (by looking it up), and buy her some roses before she comes over, too.
(Lol. I know. XD)
"Thank you," Lilah said sincerely. "That means a lot to me."
He's starting to, as well…
(XD Lol! I'm dying!
Weird excuse for a bird…)
Lilah returned the smile and subconsciously started walking closer to Cameron's side. She didn't notice how close they were until their knuckles brushed lightly together. Another blush made its way to her cheeks, and she looked away.
Cameron held his breath and he carefully took her hand. Suddenly, he became more aware of himself.
What should I do with my other hand? It looks so dumb just hanging at my side like this. I have long arms! God, not to mention my feet. What am I actually doing?
Lilah's breath caught in her throat, and she bit her lip as she glanced down at their hands. She intertwined their fingers, a small smile making its way onto her lips.
The basket was held in her other hand, and it swung gently at her side.
Cameron felt her fingers squeezed into his and unconsciously did the same. A slight grin moved across his face as they walked in rhythm with each other, walking in a comfortable silence.
Good job me, Cameron congratulated himself with a bigger smile.
Now what, lovebird?
I don't know… I'll have to ask Liam…
"This has been a really nice walk," Lilah murmured.
Cameron nodded. "So it… so it has," He practically whispered back. He cleared his throat gently.
"Very enjoyable. Lovely scenery." Now she was just speaking to fill the silence, unsure of what to do. Their hands swung gently back and forth, opposite to the basket.
Cameron smiled wider. "Ah yes, the way the sun streamed through the trees is just brilliant." He chuckled gently.
"Mm-hm. And the birds' singing was wonderful. I wonder if they'd give us an encore?" Lilah giggled slightly.
"Then there's the splashing of the fountain's water, just exquisite." Cameron bit back a laugh. "Of course, that's merely my opinion."
(Might disappear soon, jsyk.)
(oh nnOnNoNOhoHOnOHno I need to go to bed soon anyway so when you disappear I might get off… okay!)
"Hm, yes. I think it could have been better. Less splashing and more flowing." Lilah grinned.
Cameron laughed gently. "No, I personally liked the splashiness. Especially the way it glimmered off of the sun. Amazing."
"Well, the glimmering was nice, but not the whole water-getting-everywhere part," Lilah argued playfully.
"The water didn't get everywhere!" Cameron exclaimed, looking at Lilah.
An innocent reason to look at her, no?
I won't deny that, my guy.
"But it did!" Lilah shot back, stopping as she turned to face him.
Cameron paused too, squeezing her hand a little. "It did? I didn't notice."
"How could you not notice water getting everywhere?" Lilah asked, squeezing his hand back gently.
Cameron shrugged. "Because it's a fountain? And I might've been looking at the prettiest girl I've ever seen rather than it."
Cameron wanted to kick himself after that but he kept his head. Who knows how she'll react?
Lilah's mouth dropped open, and she blushed deeply. She looked down, biting her lip to hold back her smile.
"I'm not that pretty," she muttered.
