Vin hummed and left the door open for him. He walked down the steps and into the sun-warmed sand.
Vin hummed and left the door open for him. He walked down the steps and into the sun-warmed sand.
Vien walked out after Vin, smiling happily as he enjoyed the warmth
Vin hummed as he glanced up at Vien. “Have your keys?”
Vien nodded in agreement before yawning. "Yep. Now let's go get some food."
Vin walked over to the car and plopped down into the passenger’s. He buckled in and started to put his shoes on.
Vien slid into the driver's seat, Baal and Ruby bounding in and crawling into the back seats
Ruby settled in with a huff, her body towards Vien rather than Vin.
Vin took no notice and sighed into the seat.
Vien didn't seem to notice, but Baal did. The dragon whined and nudged Ruby, trying to get her to pay more attention to him
Ruby borked and swung her head to look at the dragon. She nudged him gently, then turned back to set her head down.
Baal clambered up on top of her to try and snuggle her and distract her from Vien
Ruby borked softly again and raised her head, swinging it too, trying to reach the dragon.
Baal scooted up on Ruby's body so that his head was dangling in front of Ruby's. He purred and nuzzled her head happily
Ruby raised her muzzle to sniff at him, only to find that it moved the dragon. She borked and shifted around.
Baal tittered before sliding off Ruby to cuddle next to her. He purred and shimmied happily as he got comfortable
Ruby berk borked happily too and nudged Baal with her nose happily.
Baal purred and nuzzled Ruby, tittering contently. Vien started the car once he had made sure the animals were alright
Vin glanced back into the back seat. “They’re certainly happy, yeah?”
Ruby borked in response.
"Definitely looks like it," Vien chuckled, casting a quick glance at them before returning his attention to the road
Vin chuckled too and relaxed back into the seat. “When did you see this cafe?”
"On the drive here," Vien answered. He cast a glance out at the ocean as they drove, feeling oddly at peace
Vin hummed, glancing at the sand dunes. He always loved sand, between his toes, itching his skin… loved it, always, ever since he was a kid.
Vien caught a glimpse of Vin looking out at the sand. He thought it was adorable how much he seemed to love it. Idly, he wondered if they could move to the coast someday
Vin sighed, relaxing as he imagined the ocean’s cool groove and steady beat… the rise… the gentle husshhh of the fall of the mighty waves…
Vien eventually found the cafe. It was right at the water's edge, though when he pulled into the parking lot he kept the car running so he didn't interrupt Vin's thoughts
Vin blinked and looked forward at the cafe. “We’re here already?” He looked at Vien.
Vien nodded in agreement. "We can sit outside though, if you want to be more near the ocean," he added
Vin shrugged, wanting very much to do so, yet instead said, “If you’d like.”
"Of course," Vien answered, a warm smile on his face as he spoke. He sat there a moment later before getting out of the car
Vin hesitated, watching Vien until he got out. With a huff, and a slight groan he got out of the car.
“Your car is so low!”
"I was driving slowly so you could enjoy yourself," Vien huffed, feeling a bit offended at that
