Corbin grunted as he stood up, using his crutch for support. He looked down at his clothes, seeing that he was still wearing his clothes from before. He was pleased to see that he was still wearing his Navy Seals coat, but was a bit anxious now that his service dog wasn’t close to him. He heard a bit of movement and began to walk towards it, noticing a small group of people. “Hello?” He asked, voice raised to get their attention as he neared a flight of stairs.
Violet heard someone. She looked around, seeing a man in a Navy uniform with a crutch. She hurried over to him quickly. "Do you need any help sir?"
Max quietly stayed in his corner, trying to gather information on what was happening.
Corbin turned his head to the woman that approached him. “Oh, um, getting some help down these stairs would be nice, thank you,” he said, clearing his throat softly. He glanced around, completely unsure of where he was. He right away assumed that he had been kidnapped.
Violet smiled kindly. "Of course." She began to help him descend the stairs.
Corbin held onto the woman’s arm as he went down the stairs, trying not to put much weight on his left leg. “Did you wake up here, too?” He thought to ask.
"Yes. I'm pretty sure that we all did. What do you remember doing last before waking up here?"
“The last thing I remember is being in my backyard with my dog,” Corbin answered, a frown on his lips. They got to the bottom of the stairs, and he leaned back against his crutch. “Thank you for that. I’m Corbin Abbot, by the way,” he said.
"Violet Baker," Violet introduced herself. "Is there anything else that you need?"
“No, I don’t need anymore help,” Corbin answered. He adjusted his coat a bit, huffing to himself as he glanced around at the other people.
A shiver ran down her back, allowing goosebumps to cover her bare legs. "O-Okay," she replied. She had to do something to keep her blood flowing. She headed over to an emptier side of the room, took out her earbuds and phone, and found an upbeat song, her current favorite song: Out My Mind by Tritonal featuring Riley Clemmons. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6c1_x9VmL4&list=PL8I0U7M7YW7ESCoGYUmnvu2v0nB7AIq-D&index=1) She began to find the beat, just as she usually did, by taking small quick steps. It wasn't enough movement for anyone to notice quite yet.
Corbin checked his pockets, and he cursed softly when he didn’t have his cellphone. He left it in the house, not thinking that he would need it in the backyard. If only he had known… They should be trying to call for help, or maybe use a GPS to track where they were.
Violet grinned and slipped her phone into her jacket's pocket, moving into a much more complex routine, still in perfect time to the music.
Kenna left him and went into one of the doors. There was no light so she treaded carefully. She didn't notice but she didn't notice that there was a staircase going down so she tripped and fell down the stairs. By the time she got to the bottom, her sides were hurting but she still got up. There was a very dim light coming out from under the door. She opened it and ended right back where she started except it was another entrance back into that room. She saw more people awake and up on their feet.
Violet laughed to herself for a moment. She closed her eyes, which was risky given how many people there were, and entrusted her body to the music.
He ran down the stairs after her to make sure she was ok. "are you alright?"
"Yea I'm fine." Kenna yelled over her shoulder before closing the door and going back up the stairs.
"What happened" he asked
(Sorry wasn't on i started school today)
Her breathing was quick, and her feet were quicker. She pivoted, jumped, and stepped all in perfect time.
(Okay, by this point, Violet should be attracting some attention.)
"You guys hear that?" Ash asked, standing in the ruined frame of the doorway she'd just kicked daown, jogging down the stairs and walking past a guy in a SEALS coat that had gotten with the group.
Violet leapt into the air, did a split, and landed, stumbling a bit on the landing. "Sh…ugar," she muttered. The song was reaching the climax.
Corbin looked over at the woman who had just walked past him. He then notice Violet, and frowned slightly. “Violet, what are you doing?” He asked, speaking up to get her attention once he noticed that she had headphones in.
Violet thought that she heard her name. Her eyes opened to see the Navy man watching her. She paused her music, took out her earbuds, and blushed. "What?"
“What are you doing?” Corbin asked, but he second guessed himself. Is Violet had headphones on, then maybe she had a phone. “Do you have a phone on you?” He questioned.
"Dancing," Violet said, grinding her toe into the ground. "And yeah, I have my phone. Why?"
Corbin ran a hand over his face with a huff. Shouldn’t this be obvious? “We woke up in this strange place and can’t remeber what happened. We were probably drugged and kidnapped. You have a phone, so maybe we can call someone for help,” he pointed out.
Violet quickly turned on her phone. "There's no service," she observed sadly.
Corbin frowned, and he huffed sharply, nodding his head a bit. “Alright,” He said, looking around the room. There were the multiple doorways, the one with the open door having another flight of stairs.
