(Okay… if it does, have a good night, and I'll be on earlier than expected tomorrow!)

"You know what? It's fine. Honestly. Why don't we just… go about the rest of our day, yeah?" Lilah suggested, turning to fully face Cameron. She crossed her arms again and leaned against the table.

(I don't know when my wifi will be turned back on, or if I will be able to get on tomorrow, but I'll try!)

Cameron swept the hair out of his eyes, which were drooped with sadness. He had unfortunately read between the lines very wrong.
"Yeah, I suppose we should," He mumbled after a while.

(;0; okay!)

Lilah almost felt bad for acting the way she was, but she needed to blow some steam off somehow. Granted, she should probably not let it out on Cameron…

With a heavy sigh and a quick nod, she walked out of the kitchen and started to head back to her room. A thought came to her, and she suddenly changed direction. Being in the garden always helped her calm down, for some reason, do she chose to go there, instead.

Cameron followed her out of the door a few minutes later, a shaky hand holding onto the bridge of his nose. He went unconsciously up to his temporary room, missing the one at his Kingdom with an ache. He wanted his dog so bad. Just to have her here would change so much about how he felt about the situation.
I can't be thinking like this anymore!

Lilah reached the garden and, instead of going to her little plot line she normally would, made her way over to the fountain. She let out a shaking breath and sat down on the edge. Looking into the water, she watched a drop fall down and make ripples across the surface.

Was it raining? She looked up and aw the cloudless sky. Nope. Not rain.

Something wet rolled off her chin, and she lifted a hand to wipe her cheek. She was crying? Why was she crying?

Cameron drew his hands up to his face as if trying to hide his sorrow, his tears, and pain.

Men like you don't cry, Cameron, get a grip, Growled his father's voice.

He's right. I can't… I can't cry.

Yet there he was, crying like a child left alone in the dark and cold.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

Were they angry tears? No, Lilah didn't think so…

Then why was she crying?

Why did you treat him like that?

Oh. The voice knew. Of course it did.

He was rude to me. And disrespectful.

In the beginning. He changed his attitude, though.

But…

"But" nothing. You should to apologize.

Cameron pulled his hands away from his face to realize he was in his room, leaned against the door and on the floor. Immediately, without a doubt, he also realized he wanted to go home. Not this, oh I guess I need to go home bull, no, Cameron needed to go home. He ached for it like it was a physical wound on his side. It constricted his chest and choked him of any emotion other than sadness and misery.

Lilah groaned and wiped the tears from her eyes.

I should apologize. That was unfair of me to treat him that way.

She looked down at her reflection in the water. Hopefully, her eyes weren't red and puffy from crying…

Standing, she combed her fingers through her hair before starting towards the doors. She hoped Cameron would forgive her for the way she had treated him.

Cameron inhaled and shook his head back. Metzlers don't cry, yet we don't try either. What's the point? He grinned a little at his meaningless rhyme.

(I just spent about an hour organizing a spice drawer…)

Lilah had stopped at her room to make sure she was presentable before heading to Cameron's room. Once again, she found herself outside his door, preparing herself to knock.

When she finally did, she called to him, "Cameron? Can we talk?"

Cameron tensed against the door, rubbing his eyes furiously.
"Yeah, sure." He was ashamed to hear that his voice was hoarse and rough. He rose off of the ground, resisted the urge to stretch, hoped he looked okay, then opened the door.

(Yey)

Cameron cleared his throat and looked over her shoulder. She noticed.
"Sure, come on in." He stepped out of the way.

"You shouldn't have to apologize." Cameron shook his head. "What I said was uncalled for and it made the situation awkward. I should be the one apologizing."

@Imperfect_Autumn group

"I was rude, and I'm sorry for treating you in such a way," Lilah insisted, shaking her head. "And you only surprised me by what you said. It was not out of line."

Deleted user

"Surprise is… isn't good in a conversation. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up." Cameron bit his lip at stared at the ground.

Lilah crossed her arms and sighed. She looked at Cameron, her eyes searching his face.

"It's fine, Cameron," she assured him, uncrossing her arms to place a hand on one of his.

Cameron's nose twitched and his gaze moved up to gaze at her unsurely, through his curly brown hair.
Her hand felt warm on his, almost absolutely correct, the way their skin made contact. Her hands were soft, which melted away the ache in his side, temporarily. He didn't respond, merely because he was… well… distracted by this realization.

@Imperfect_Autumn group

"Cameron?" Lilah withdrew her hand slowly, somewhat worried about the prince. He hadn't said anything and was just looking at her. A hint of red crept into her cheeks.

Cameron jumped a little and took her hand as he felt it retract. "No! Imean… yes?"

Cameron realized her change in mood and expression and let her hand go. "Yes." He cleared his throat. "I'm okay."
