"Why now?" She looked away from her hands and watched him pack his things. He didn't stop. "Did I do something?" He didn't even look over his shoulder. She raised her voice. "TY! LISTEN TO ME!"

Ty set the picture in his hand down. "Yes?" He turned to face her. Maybe if he acted cold to her she would totally just for get about him. "Kate you didn't do anything, so don't worry about me." He kept his gaze on the ground, looking at her would make it harder to leave.

You just yelled at him. "Sorry, I didn't mean to yell I just-" she put her hand om her forehead and ran it back through her hair "-How do I not worry about you?" She walked up to him. "Ty, please tell me. You shouldn't leave. You can't." She squeezed her eyes shut, hoping somehow reality would find it's way back to her.

Ash walked into Calculus and looked around the classroom. She was hoping to see Liam but she wasn't sure what classes he was taking.

Liam finished his lab and asked to go to the library to work on his English assignment.

"Give me a reason why I shouldn't leave." It felt like his heart tightened when she walked closer to him. All he wanted to do was pull her into a hug and tell her everything was going to be okay. "There's nothing here for me anymore. Puls if I wanted to see Xavier I could always visit."

Because I want you to stay. "Xavier wants you to stay." Why? "He needs you." I need you. Kate wasn't sure where these thoughts had come from, but they had arrived like a wrecking ball, destroying everything she had built with Xavier. She didn't understand why she felt a sudden connection, she just knew it was there. Her voice softened as she looked down to the tile. "Please, Ty."

"Damn it Kate." He hated seeing her like this it crushed him. "If Xavier needs me to stay why hasn't he told me himself? Somethings not right." He lifted his head to look at her. "I haven't lied to you at all, I told you how I felt, so I need to hear from you how you feel. Do you want me to stay or did Xavier send you to tell me all this?" Ty walked closer to where he was standing right in front of her. He won't touch her though, it would be right.

Ash finished her assignment and excused herself to get a drink.

She bit the inside of her cheek, unable to answer the question. "I-" I can't lie, but if I told the truth, what happens? She sighed. "Ty, please."

“Ash?” Liam asked turning the corner

"Please what?" He bent down so he could see her face. "I don't know what you want from me." His icy blue eyes looked at her. "Kate, what do you want me to do?" He couldn't hold back, his handwent to her cheek and lifted her face so she was looking at him.

A shiver went down her spine when he touched her. She looked into his eyes, sharp as ever, and sighed again. Her voice was almost inaudible. "I wamt you to stay."

He removed his hand and walked to the art table and took out a pen and wrote on the palm of his hand. 'I like you.' This was going to be the last time he says that, since her and Xavier were still together. 'I'll stay.' Then he laid his head on the table.

Kate took the pen she always had in her back pocket out and wrote back. 'Thank you.' She walked over to a corner and sat down closing her eyes. "You should tell Xavier."

"Tell Xavier what? That I'm not leaving?" Ty moved over to where she was and sat in front of her. "I will. And I hope we can stay good friends." It was painful to say that, but as long as her and Xavier were together there was nothing he could do.

"Liam? Hey! I was wondering when I would see you again." Ash rushed towards him in excitement, almost knocking him over in the process.

"Yeah." To be honest, she wasn't sure how long her relationship with Xavier would last. He didn't seem pleased with her this morning. "Do you know what's going on with Xavier? He left without me this morning and wouldn't look at me when I made it to class." Ty probably wouldn't know, but he knew Xavier better than anyone.

"Hm." Ty laid his chin on his hand. "I have an idea, but you should probably talk to him about it." Right, I forgot. Ty stood and went to the sink and started to wash off his arms. "Sorry about this, even though I'm not sure how or why that happened." A knocking came from the door and Xavier walked in. "I saw you two leave and I figured Ty would bring you here."

Kate watched the paint disappear on her arms, slightly sad. When Xavier walked in, she stood up quickly and looked at him. "Xavier."

"You don't have to be so on edge." He laughed. He's thought about it all day and there is only one thing he had to do. "Ty, mind giving us a moment?" Ty got a rag and took it out into the hall. "Kate, I'm breaking up with you. Now I have a question since we are not together. Both me and Ty like you, and I want the truth." He sat down in front of her. "You don't have to worry about hurting anyone's feelings we just want what's best for you." Xavier cared for her, but he had a feeling Ty might care more. "Who do you want to be with, and if you say you done want either that's fine as well."

Shock spring across her face, but it quickly left. Kate looked down at the floor again. "Xavier, please don't ask me to do this." She knew either way she'd break something.

She felt her arm tingle, but didn't look at it. "Vash?" Asked the front desk person. Vash nodded her head. "Your foster dad wanted to check you out. Said something about moving?" The front desk person handed her a slip. "Get your things then come back." no no no she thought as she headed back to class grabbed her stuff then back again to the office.

An uneasy sense of dread settled in Blue’s core. He tapped his fingers, watching the clock. Just a little bit longer, just a little bit until the bell. He continued writing on his arm, Vash??? He then proceeded to draw a large thick arrow down his arm, hopefully something to get her attention.

"You dont have to answer now, but soon enough your going to have to make a choice." He pushed himself off the floor. "Ty texted me by the way and said that he's not leaving, so that's some good news." It was up to Kate now to decide, neither Xavier or Ty could do it for her. Xavier walked out and saw Ty sitting on the floor. "You should go back in." And Ty did exactly that. "Are you okay? Did he say something to upset you?"

"I'm fine." Kate couldn't meet his eyes. "No." Yes. How could he make me choose something like that? She traced lines on her palm with her finger.

"What did he say?" Ty sat in front of her. What did Xavier say now to make her upset? He never thinks before he does something. "if your uncomfortable with it you don't have to tell me." Ty took his glasses off and laid on the ground with his eyes closed. All of this was making him mentally exhausted.

"He broke up with me," she blurted. She stopped tracing the lines and put her hands in her lap. "And then asked me to pick between you two." She looked up into his eyes.

Ty was in shock. How could Xavier do this? He really is stupid. "Kate you don't have too, don't listen to him okay. I'm fine." That was a lie, but a lie he was going to keep. "Now, excuse me while I go punch him in the face."

Right as was about to leave, her tongue slipped. "I'd pick you." She closed her eyes, mentally smacking herself. What did you just do? She formed fists with her hands, her nails digging a grave in her palm. Idiot.

Ty froze as his hand was about to touch the handle. It felt like his heart stopped, and butterflies were going crazy in his stomach. Ty turned around to face her, his face was completely red. "You're playing with me are you?" He had a hard time believing that this was all real. Why would she choose me over Xavier?
