who are you?
“Who’s there?” She yelled
you can hear me?
“Well of course, you’re speaking are you not?”
She saw a a pair or emerald eyes looking at her. “Who are you?” She asked softly
i bear no name, but I am a dragon.
Lucky gasped softly. “Finally I see one! May I see you?” The dragon came into the light. It looked to be in its teenage years. It was light blue with green and indigo streaks. hello
Lucky dropped her basket and walked closer to the dragon “Frost. That’s what I’ll call you.”
The dragon shook its head and puffed out air, messing her hair “hey!” Frost made a rumbling sound “Are you— Are you laughing at me?!”
Why did you want to leave? Farron shrugged, “Am I now confined to the town?” No I was just wondering. Ysethen replied, focusing on the sky ahead.
Please don't tell me you trust this guy after one day? Riven complained. He was jealous, but didn't want to admit it, he didn't want Farron take his master away. "I've only known you a day, yet I trust you." Mara laughed. *Humans and dragons are completely different. I would know." Riven was going to keep his eye on Farron till he knew if he would be a good guy.
They flew for a while until Farron eventually saw other dragons up ahead, “Ysethen, can you tell who they are?”
Ysethen squinted, No, I can’t. They’re from the village, though
Mara wasn't paying attention and just let Riven do his thing. There's other dragons up ahead. Mata sat up more a peeked around Riven's head to see.
(Is there anyone else online?)
(I am. I’m in the forest meeting my dragon)
Zuriel grabbed on to a few treetops and pulled them apart hoping to make enough room for Nox to land "try landing now!"
Nox tucked her wings in slightly and lowered herself to the forest floor. Aurelius slid off her back, knowing he couldn't take her much further. Even if she was smaller than many other dragons, there were too many narrow paths for her to get caught up in. Aurelius unstrapped his sword and held it ready, just in case there was trouble.
(I'm here. Except I should be doing homework. But it's not much. I'm switching tabs occasionally.)
want a ride?
“Really?” Frost nodded her head. Lucky picked up her basket and climbed on “I’m on.” Frost spread her wings and took off “WOOOAAAHHH!”
Farron spotted Aurelius and lowed Ysethen down next to Nox, “Aurelius.” Farron called, walking after the other guy. He hoped Mara was still following.
"Hm?" Aurelius asked, not turning around. His eyes were fixed on the forest ahead, and he was surprised when a loud rustle came from there. He lifted his gaze and saw a strange dragon lifting Lucky into the sky. He started back towards Nox.
Riven stopped when Ysethen landed on the ground. "Does he know them?" She asked her dragon, even though he wouldn't know. By the looks of it I would say yes. Mara got off of Riven and walked over to where Farron is, Riven close behind.
“Having fun?” He asked, walking up next to Aurelius
"You could say that," Aurelius replied, eyes still on the sky, "I think Lucky found her dragon."
He was about to climb onto Nox, but she flicked her wing at him, causing him to stumble.
I just sat down! Let me rest! She demanded.
Aurelius backed off slightly.
Arioch and Zuriel had passed out in nearby but woke up due to twigs landing on them. they both spring up "what happened?" Zuriel hit the back of his head with her wing i blame you
Jade landed down in a clearing a ways away from the village. quincy got off and began to search around, "It should have regrown by now."
You say that every time, Jade sighed smoke exhaling from her nostrils.
"Hey! Sacred land here!" Quincy looked at Jade before going back to search the edges of the clearing. She spotted the twinkle of a small silver plant, "AHA! It has regrown!"
Remind me why Glistenlace is so important again?
"Basic alchemical ingredient. I need it to do lots of things. That and it is kind of hard to find," Quincy gently began to pick smaller leaves from the plant leaving enough so that it would regrow.
Why not just move it to the garden? Jade waddled over to see the plant.
"Bad conditions. It wouldn't survive there."
“Oh, I met a girl, Mara.” Farron said, running a hand down Ysethen’s scales.
"Someone from the outside?" Aurelius questioned, "One of us?"
He stroked Nox's head, and she had her eyes half-closed, like happy animals do.
“Ysethen and I were… out in the woods and we tumbled across her. Her and her dragon, newly bonded, too.” Farron explained, crossing his arms.
"That would be me." She popped out from behind Farron. "Hi, I'm Mara and this colorful dragon is Riven." Riven chirped at the new people.
Aurelius nodded. "Have you come to live in the village?"
He was fixated on the dragon, even more so than Mara. Riven was quite a fascinating creature.
"Um." Was she here to stay? "I'm sorry, I'm not sure how to answer that." Riven laid his head on Mara's head. "You're head is heavy." She smiled at Aurelius. "I'm still getting used to him."
"Oh, so I guess Farron didn't explain yet," Aurelius said, "Well, that's okay. You see, you can speak to dragons and bond with them, and that's a rare gift, but I guess you already knew that. And I'm also guessing you already know how hated and feared dragons are. We live in a village that is a safe haven for dragons and a place for the people who can speak with them to coexist with dragons. There's more, but I won't get into specifics just yet. Especially not if you're just passing through."
Farron rolled his eyes and climbed onto Ysethen and laid back, “Yeah, sorry I was too busy trying to help her get away from the people trying to sacfrice her that the information you just said slipped my mind, sorry, my bad.” He huffed.
"Excuse me?" Aurelius asked in utter disbelief, "Sacrifice?"
He brought a hand up to his forehead. "Gods. I'm glad you're okay, then. Both of you."
Farron muttered something inaudible but Ysethen heard and snorted, “Right, what now?” He asked sitting up.
Did he really need to say that? "Riven, shut it. Unlike here, my people worshipped dragons." She had no idea that others feared them. "Is there some way we can help?" Riven relaxed more making his head heavier. You're too trusting. Mara ignored his comment.
