(Sorry it took me a while to get back… I had to go for dinner and a walk with my family) Kane nodded - he didn't press further.
"I'm sorry…" said Kane placing a hand on Dylan's back. He paused for a few moments before going to his mini fridge and opening the freezer. He got out a pack of peas and wrapped it in a cloth. He silently handed it to Dylan unsure of what to say. (I'm probably going to head to bed now night!)
"It's fine," He took the frozen peas from Kane and nodded thankfully. "It's been some years." He petted Teacup's little head.
"Oh right," He frowned "Does this mean we're skipping today?" Dylan mentally slapped himself, how could he be this careless and forget the risks of Kane getting in trouble?
Kane shrugged "It doesn't r-really matter - I'm failing most of my classes anyway. I can walk you, though, if you want me to."
"Nah." Dylan laughed. "I think I'd better lay low for the time bein'. If we're lucky then that guy won't remember what I look like and he'll leave you alone." He thought about punching the man's face again. "Plus- It's a nice day, I could show you some nice spots in the city."
Kane smiled sheepishly "Yeah… t-that would be nice." He was nervous - he didn't really understand why this guy was being nice to him but he liked it.
"Great-" He looked towards the door. "I'm not sure If you'll be able to bring Teacup, but I dunno." Dylan shrugged and started to plan out the day.
Kane leaned against the wall watching Dylan and petting Teacup.
"You aren't afraid of heights, are you?" Dylan asked, trying to hide a smile.
Kane shivered - he was but he didn't want to let Dylan know that so he quickly shook his head no.
"I won't do anything too crazy, but I know a place with a killer view of The Met." He smiled, gesturing to follow him "Let's go?"
