@rot-baby-rot!

(Mystery Science Theater 3000? Ha, how about me, my mom, and my sister lying on top of each other on a small chair while watching The Mummy and hiding from my grandparents?)

"What do you mean by "missing"?" August asked, running a hand through his hair.

Eleanor hopped off the table, stalking over to him. "I mean he's gone. Said he was going out and never returned. I can't get the police involved because they'd arrest him as soon as they found him."

"So you came to me? You know I hated him. He hated me. I left our family behind so I wouldn't have anything to do with you guys. I don't need this, and you know that." Eleanor glared at him.

"Yes, we know. Augustus Evans, the foolish child who couldn't follow simple orders. You think I want to be here? They told me to come and get you. Said it was your fault he was taken, that this wouldn't have happened if you had done your job. They're not wrong you know."

"I know that!" August yelled, unable to meet her gaze. He crossed his arms over his chest. Everything had been going so well- of course she had had to come and ruin it. "But I'm not going to help them. Not them, not him, not you."

“W-What’s going on?” Meun asked nervously. “Why would the police arrest your father? Is there something you haven’t been telling me?”

Shoot, I thought too soon. Rigel huffed a breath, shooting her a glare as he got to the second site, only answer after he began digging, “You won’t want to hear the story.”

“I got time.”

“It’s a story that shouldn’t be dug up,” Rigel warned, thinking every word through. If she really wanted to know, he’d tell her a story. But he was sure she’d see a different side of him. Maybe then she’d finally leave. Rigel stood the shovel in the dirt, watching Aspen.

“You’re not the only one with secrets Rigel.” She muttered to herself.

("A story that shouldn't be dug up" …pun intended?)

(heck yeah, Rigel just wants a good bad pun in his life every once and a while XD)

“Everyone has secrets,” Rigel simply replied, going back to digging. Maybe he could just steer the conversation away from all this…

“You’re just saying the same thing. I already know that Aspen, and I don’t feel like hearing your story,” The words were bitter, Rigel was bitter. But Rigel knew she didn’t have a past like his. She could have has a terrible past, sure, but it wasn’t Rigel’s past. And he didn’t want to hear about it, everyone already had enough problems. Rigel hit the body with his shovel. Another fresh one, Rigel has hit the head this time. He could make out long hair and a once pretty face from the rotting flesh. Rigel repeated the process of covering it back up.

She rolled her eyes. “I’m trying to be a friend Rigel. Wether you want one or not! You love to build walls and hide your feelings, but not around me. If you want to build a wall, go ask Trump.” She snapped
