Amber, wiping the spit and blood from her mouth, said, "Magic is illegal. I mean thank you, but seriously. You're just gonna get us in even more trouble than we're already in."

Sami stared at the floor in shame. "I'm sorry." She said quietly. She could feel the tips of her pointed ears turn pink. "and I'm glad to be a help."

also sorry i haven't updated, like, at all I was going to but then I kinda had to go to the ER oops)

Anna was very surprised, to say the least. With everyone else out of their cells, Anna sighed. "Anyone else that needs to be freed, or whatever we're calling this?"

Diane screamed when hearing Anna's response.

(Nope, my heart rate is usually really slow. They think it was like some severe heart burn and then a severe panic attack, but we don't really know. I got to ride in an ambulance though so that's something I can check off from my bucket list)

Anna heard a faint scream. "Well. There's someone. Let's go save them!" She hefted Sami onto her back piggyback style before pointing dramatically in where she thought the scream came from.

(yeah the ambulance driver played Panic! At The Disco the whole time it was unique)

Sami was still exhausted from the strain of casting. Honestly, this was embarrassing. She hadn't cast any magic in probably a year, and used to be able to light a building on fire without breaking a sweat, if she had the right incantation, and motivation.
Elijah would be laughing at you right now. She mentally scolded herself. Pull yourself together.
Anna hoisted her ton her back and they continued towards Diane's cell. Anna quickly got her out with the help of the others, and they rushed towards the door. Michael found Sami's crutches leaning on a small hook, so she was able to follow them again. Her back and arms were still covered in bruises from when the guard threw her, but she could still walk.
"Alright," Sami whispered. "Let's go find Kira. I hope Shey is close."
Suddenly the chatter of the guards died down to a stop, and only one of them was talking.
"Hey, why'd the yelling stop?" She heard them say. Ah, crap.
She quickly started limping around the room in search of a vent, or a pipe, or some quick way of escape, as the footsteps of the guards came closer, the others joining her.

Anna panicked. "In the vent!" she hissed, shoving Sami towards the vent which had a cover that could open. The rest of the group followed Sami, until it was just Anna left in the room. That was when the guards got into the room. Seeing Anna alone in the room, they started running towards her. Anna was really panicking, now. Reciting all of the swear words she knew, she got into a position that she thought was what was supposed to be a fighting position.

Sami came to a few minutes later. Her head still hurt, and her body felt like lead.
"-ey. Hey! Sami, are you with me?" Anna's face came into focus above her.
"Anna?"
"Yeah, come on, we have to find everyone else."
Anna slung Sami's arm over her shoulder and helped her limp towards the other cells. She shined the light in the nearest cell. Ariane was in there, gag recently put in her mouth. She narrowed her eyes at Sami. Damn it She though. Maybe they'll hang me even if we don't tell Kira.

-Ariene honestly was more in wonder than shock. She stayed quiet, thinking about how amazing it was until a thought popped back in her head. "Wait! Has anyone seen Lucky yet?!" She said, getting more and more worried. "He wasn't in the cell with me." (Ariene doesn't know he's with Shey.)

Amber looked at Ariene with sympathy. "Ariene I don't think Lucky's here. I think he got left behind."
