Kate laughed. "Okay." The stars we're beginning to shine through the darkness. She looked up at them through the window. "First the sunset, now the stars." She sighed slightly. For Ty, it was sunsets. For Kate, it was stars. She could lay under them for forever.
Xavier pulled into the parking lot of the store. "I'll be right back." He jumped out of the car and ran inside. While he was inside his phone rang, but he left it in the car thinking he wouldn't need it. Ty was trying to reach him. He needed to talk to Xavier.
Kate heard Xavier's phone ring. She looked over and saw it on his seat. Ty was calling him. She didn't want to be intrusive so she didn't pick it up. It rung again. It might be urgent… She picked it up. "Hello?"
"Kate?" Ty was surprised by Kate answering. "Where's Xavier? I need to talk to him." Ty was still at school laying on the football field looking at the stars.
"He's in the store right now, sorry." She could hear the wind blowing through his phone. "I can go get him if you'd like."
"No, no it's fine." He cleared his throat. "I was going to have him come get me, but if you're there he doesn't have too." Ty picked up his sketch book. The picture turned out good, he was going to give it to Xavier. But he seemed busy. "Sorry to bother you."
"No, no, no. It's fine. I can see him right now. We'll come get you." She hung up the phone before he got a chance to refuse.
"Okay." He opend the back door and put the groceries in the back. He then opened his door and got back in. "Alright, I got everything. You ready to go?" He buckled himself in.
"Ty called," she said. "He needs a ride." She looked over as he got buckled.
"Ty, really?" Ty didn't really call unless it was important. "I mean okay." He turned the car around and headed to school. "Did he say where he was at?"
"Shoot, no. I forgot to ask." Kate shook her head amd sighed. You're such a noob sometimes.
"That's okay." He said as he pulled into the parking lot. "Would you like to come or do you want to stay in the car?" Xavier did care which one she chose.
"I'll come. I need a breath of fresh air." The second she said it, she thought about it. Ty probably needed to talk to Xavier. But it was too late now. They had already began to walk.
"I guessing football field since that's where we left him." It was so cold that Xavier could see his breath. And as the walked up to the field he saw Ty laying in the middle of the field. "Look who it is." Xavier opened his arms walking up to Ty and leaning over him.
(I'm watching a movie so sorry it takes me a while to answer.)
(You're all good!)
Kate still had his jacket on, which lessened the blow, but she was still shivering slightly. She watched as Ty got up.
"I don't want a hug right now." Xavier pulled him in anyway. Ty had thought Xavier came alone till he saw Kate over his shoulder. "Um. Hi." He smiled at her.
"Hey," she said returning the smile. She gave a little wave. "Long time, no see." (Sorry it's short, I have to go to bed, nighteo)
"Yeah about an hour, tbats like a day in dog years. Or something." He laughed pushing Xavier off of him. "What did you need me for?" Xavier asked. Ty looked over at Kate. "I just needed a ride." Xavier narrowed his at Ty. "Alright let's go."
"Its fine" she laughed. we could always skip she thought, "uh, so you've never been to detention before I take it?" Vash looked at blues hopeless look and felt bad. "I'm sure we could just ask someone"
“No, I haven’t,” Blue sighed, then looked at the teacher’s doors. Most looked locked down and shut, except for one, “Maybe that’s where it is?” Blue started walking. He was going to miss Vash while he sat in detention, so as he walked, he asked, “Where are you going to go while I’m in detention?”
"Did you need to talk to him, Ty? I can go wait at the car." Kate tried to figure out what was going on here. She didn't want to make Ty feel like he couldn't talk to Xavier.
Vash thought for a second, "I guess I'll just go with you. Going home is pointless. And its not like I have anyone else to hang out with" anything was better then going home. She knew her foster father would most likely try to beat her. And waiting around out side would be boring. "Unless you don't want me to come, then I'd just wait out side for a bit."
"What, no it's totally fine." Ty kept the smile on his face. Even if he did want to talk to Xavier he wasn't going to do it here. This talk was definitely going to ruin the friendship, if not that, then it will just be extremely awkward. "Alright, let's get you home." Xavier and Ty walked back to the car and got in.
Kate let Ty sit in the front seat next to Xavier. Something was up. Kate was curious, but she also didn't want to intrude. "I think I dropped my phone on the field." She fake checked her pockets, pretending she didn't feel it in her pocket. "I'll be right back." She opened the door to the car.
"Oh, okay." Xavier left the car on so it would be warm when she got back. "Ty, what going on?" Ty just looked out the window. "It's nothing." He hugged his sketch book. "Give me the book." Xavier knew he was hiding something. Ty handed it over not really caring at this point. "Hm, what is this?" Finally Ty to look at Xavier. "It's exactly what it looks like." He wasn't really trying to hide it. "I'm going to get Kate." Xavier got not not wanting to here anymore. "Hey Kate, did you find your phone?"
Kate was staring up at the stars smiling. She jumped when she heard Xavier. "I- uh- yeah. Yes, i found my phone." She smiled at him. He didn't look happy. Whatever Ty said must have set him off.
"Alright, let's go." Xavier turned and walked back to the car. Ty was now sitting in the back when they got back the car. Xavier was a bit upset, but Ty was still his bestfriend, it just might take a while to process all of what was going on. Xavier opened the door for Kate before getting in himself.
"Thanks." She got in. There was no question, something was wrong, she just didn't know what to do. They drove in silence until Kate couldn't take it. They came to a red light. "Okay, stop." She looked between them both. "Whatever happened did something. You need to talk about it. I can step out of the car, but this," she motioned to the almost visible tension, "is not good." The moment she said it, she regretted it. It's none of your business. But she didn't back down. She placed her hand on the door handle.
The boys looked at each other. Ty busted out laughing. Sure what was happening wasn't good, it was definitely going to be hard to get over it. But, theres no way they would stop being friends. Xavier laughed a bit but not as much at Ty. "I haven't seen you like this before." Xavier said still lugging a bit. "Would you like to know what it is?" Ty hit Xavier shoulder. Was Xavier seriously okay with her knowing.
She took her hand of the door and looked down at her lap. "I don't mess around with friendships. It's your choice whether of not I know." Their laughter had thrown her off, making her wonder if it was some kind of joke.
"Would you like to tell her?" Xavier looked back at Ty. Ty turned his head away and mumbled. How was he supposed to his bestfriends girlfriend that he liked her as well, he liked her way before Xavier did but he never had the chance to tell her. No, it would only make things awkward. And how is Xavier so calm about it? Ty's narrowed his eyes at his friend. Was because he didn't have anything to worry about? He couldn't tell her, it would freak her out. He was just going to have to slowly move on. "Sorry." Was all he said.
(Boom! Sorry, I just really wanted to put some drama in it. Puls I love Ty and wanted him to be in it more so sorry about that was well.)
