Axel smirked and went outside to his bike. Giving her the helmet he got on “have to protect that pretty little head of yours.”
Axel smirked and went outside to his bike. Giving her the helmet he got on “have to protect that pretty little head of yours.”
Mor’s smile didn’t leave her face, a sparkling joyous glint in her eyes, as she put the helmet on and sat behind Axel. He gave off a comforting warmth.
Few minutes later, they reached the cafe. Axel parked his bike and waited for Mor to get off forst
Mor slid off the bike, a slight chill coming in as she held open the bakery door for Axel. Mor could already see he grandmother’s face lighting up.
Axel held the door
Mor slid inside the bakery, beaming at her grandmother, “Grandma! I came to visit,” Mor walked up to the counter.
“You did? Morrigan, so sweet of you, you’ve always been my favorite granddaughter,” Her grandmother smiled, her laughter lines apparent, “So why haven’t you introduced me to your future husband yet?” Mor nearly choked, putting a hand over her mouth and shooting Axel an apologetic look.
“Grandma, Axel just gave me a ride here and-“
“Axel! Welcome to the family!” Her grandmother grinned at him and Mor turned a bright red.
Axel smirked at Mor “hello ma’am, unfortunately for you, me and this beautiful lady aren’t dating. We met today!” He smiled at her “she did, however tell me that this is an amazing place, and I can see that.”
Her grandmother lit up and Mor turned an even brighter red, “He called you beautiful! Darling, I can’t wait for the wedding day, and it better come soon, you know us old farts are reaching the end of our timelines and-“
“Grandma, can we get some pastries?” Mor interrupted before she turned before she got more embarrassed. He grandmother gave her a look, something that promised more teasing later.
“What will it be then, darlings?” Her grandmother asked.
Mor looked sheepishly at Axel, “You can get anything you want, I’m buying.”
“What would you recommend Mrs….?”
“Archeron,” Mor’s grandmother replied, then looked over the pastries, “I would say the chocolate roses, but that’s just me.” But Mor’s grandmother was already taking out the little pastries filled with chocolate, each of them twisted into the shape of a rose bud with a strawberry glaze. Mor wanted to cover her face when she felt more heat rise to it. Gosh, her granny was rather determined…
Mrs. Archeron set out one plate, two ‘roses’ sitting on it, “For you and my granddaughter. Treat her well, and it’s on the house.” Mor just about died right there, shooting another apologetic look at Axel.
Axel looked at her, his eyes twinkling with mischief “oh of course I will.” He said and took the pastries. Settin then at a table, he pulled out a chair and rather loudly, said “my lady.”
Mor pushed his shoulder lightly, “You won’t make anything easy on me, will you?” She rolled her eyes, then sat down took a bite of the ‘chocolate rose’. It was as good as ever, which made Mor glare at her grandmother who watched from behind the counter.
He just laughed “your grandma is so nice, I’d to humour her”
Mor rolled her eyes as she finished her pastry, “We should hang out again, this was actually fun. Let me give you me number,” Mor began to get up to get a pen and paper, but Mor’s grandmother was already there, holding out a slip of paper that read:
555-392-1095
^^^That’s Morigan’s phone number for when you call her to ask you on a date!
PS. She’s got a secret sweet tooth!

Axel laughed out loud. "Thanks Mrs." He said
Mor slid her hands over her face, “Will you ever quit at it Grandma?”
“Not until the day I am with our Lord, sweetie,” Mor’s grandmother walked away humming to herself and Mor groaned.
“Sorry about her. Like I said, ‘wild imagination’.” Mor told him as she leaned her chin in her knuckles.
"I would like to stay in touch." He said quietly
“Yeah, we should go out again sometime.” Mor agreed with a smile.
"Go Out? I see, is this your way f asking me on a date?" He smirked
“Of course it is,” Mor rolled her eyes with the wave of her hand, “You’re really nice.”
"Ill text you the details." he smiled
“Alright,” Mor nodded with a smile, “Well I have to get going,” Mor glanced at her watch as she started heading for the door, “I’ll see you then, Axel.” And Mor walked out accompanied by the breeze.
He waved and went to his bike. starting it up, he went to the cliff
