She led him to a bar, where a grumpy faced bartender stood washing a cup, which was already spotless.
"Whaddya want?"

"a beer please" he said his tiredness aparent in his voice

The man grunted and set down the cup, then whipped a bottle out of nowhere and filled it with beer. He slid it to his customer and continued wiping down his cup.

"thanks" Nyx said getting lost in thought

Sage followed her parents into the building, already dreading the awkward family night.

"Welcome to Cameron's Seafood!" The greeter… greeted. "Would you like a table or a booth?"

"Booth." Her mother answered shortly. ((Idk I think I might give her rude/mean parents should I?))

Nyx gets his phone out and starts to write an email

The greetress led them to a booth, where she gave the three of them menus and asked, "What would you like as a drink?"

"Soda, please." She said softly after her parents gave their choices.

She nodded and walked over to the bar, where the grumpy bartender made the drinks quickly.

i feel like a server should trip swear and the parents would be like u dare use that languge in front of my daughter i will get u fired lol//

The bartender glared at the greetress. "Don't fucking trip up like last time, eh?" He laughed meanly, as the greetress waved a hand at him.

Nyx heard that and thought Rude people all around me

Sage played with her sweater sleeves, hoping the conversation wouldn't be turned to her soon

"Yeah, well there's a reason you're stuck behind that counter, Zackary," She called over her shoulder as she walked. Suddenly, a chair was jutted out, and the greetress tripped over the leg, with a hissed, but still audible, "Shit!" She scrambled to catch her balance but fell nevertheless.
