Ellen glanced at the thing. "Does it have a little black nub on it?"
Ellen glanced at the thing. "Does it have a little black nub on it?"
Faye walked over and peered into the bag. "No, but it has ears."
"Alright. It's not an Onex Larvae then." Ellen slammed the book shut. "I say we kill it anyway." She searched the pockets of her flightsuit. "I think I've got knife somewhere…" She muttered.
Faye picked up the thing. "I… don't think it's a bug."
Daso pulled one of his guns out from…somewhere and aimed it at the creature. "No worries, I got it!"
"No not in here shithead!" Ellen yelled.
He reluctantly lowered his gun. "You're no fun. Fine, I'll do it somewhere else. Hand it over." He held out his hand for the bag.
"HOLD ON YOU TWO DOTS! I don't think it's a bug!"
"Yeah duh, but it's going to be trouble no matter what! It looks like a potato with ears and bug legs for pete sake!"
Faye shook it a little. "I think it's a weird breed of mammal."
"I think it's a weird breed of disgusting," he shot back.
"Well it ain't Terran. And it doesn't show up in the Encyclopedia." Kat wandered in and spotted the creature in the bag. She hissed and high tailed it out of there. "See, Kat doesn't even like it!?
Faye smiled a little and flipped it upside down. Its legs moved so it fit the body form. "This is really awesome."
"It's really gross, that's what it is." Ellen frowned. "Please tell me you not thinking of keeping it."
Daso buried his face in his hands. "That is such a Faye thing to do, I wouldn't put it past her."
Faye moved it so its head was facing upwards and its legs moved again. "I might."
"No. Nuh-uh. It's gross, and it was destroying the AC." Ellen looked at Daso. "Seriously. We can't have that thing on this ship. It looks like an Onex got it on with a Grellian Warg mutt and they had a kid!"
Faye rolled her eyes. "Alright, alright, gimme the gun, I'll shoot it. It'll give me something to do."
"No, no, no, as the captain I get to shoot it," Daso argued, reaching for the ugly little thing.
Faye shook her head and stepped away. "Ah ah. I want to because if I don't I won't cook anymore."
"I'll cook," Daso said, still reaching for the critter. "Gimme!"
"How bout I get rid of it, and you two keep bickering." Ellen said.
Kristen had, this whole time had been looking in her brother's old journal. He, too, had been a traveler and had certainly found something like this. She found it on page eighty-four: A bloodthirsty spite yak, was what it was. It could be trained to become docile to the keeper and raging to enemies - her brother had one before.
She ran into the hub, skidded to a stop, and yelled in everyone's face.
"It's a bloodthirsty spite yak. It can be trained to fight enemies yet be docile to the owner. What you do with him is up to you, I mean, there's only about eight left in the whole universe complex…" Kristen shrugged.
(I thought Kris was patching up the crack in the AC)
"ONLY EIGHT! We could sell this thing for a fortune! Isn't that right little guy," Faye cooed to the yak, who sqquuuuuullleeed back.
"Alright then. We get rid of it for cash. That sounds like a good plan."
Faye moved it up in the air. "I dunno, this thing could help us kill some hits though."
Ellen frowned. "We need cash though."
"We can get the cash from said hits, idiot."
Ellen rolled her eyes. "I know that, numbskull." She shrugged. "Whatever gets cash faster. Just as long as Daso's fine with it and it doesn't bug me or Kat."
