Bastian dozed off quickly after him, snoring softly as he held Halo close to his chest. He was smiling softly as he slept

Halo's eyes flutter open slowly after a while and he groans at the twinge in his hips. He smiles softly, chuckling a little as he looks towards Bastian. He smiles softly before getting out of bed and walking towards the shower.

Bastian had whined when Halo left, but he wasn't quite awake yet. He went back to sleep, holding a pillow to his chest as he did so

Halo takes a quick shower before walking back out, stretching a little as he ties his hair back into a ponytail and gets in some clothes. He smiles when he sees Bastian sleeping still, chuckling as he sits beside Bastian, gently running a hand through the others hair.

Bastian was fast asleep, though he made a small noise as his expression turned pained. He gripped at the pillow he was holding, seemingly still asleep still

Halo's eyes turn concerned as he gently kisses the others forehead. "Bastian…" he whispers softly, softly shaking Bastian.

Bastian didn't wake, instead continuing to grip at his pillow. "N-No, no, no," he mumbled, over and over as he curled into a ball

"Bastian." he calls again, a bit more urgent this time. He gently turns the other to face him, his expression turning worried.

Bastian bolted upright abruptly, gasping and spluttering as his hands flew to his throat. He looked like he was choking almost, his nails digging into his throat

Halo grabs his hands, pulling them away from his neck. "Hey, hey… easy." he says softly, his eyes full of concern. "Bastian, are you okay?" He places his palm against the others cheek.

Bastian fought him for a moment, his gaze unfocused for a second. He spluttered and wheezed, though eventually his flailing calmed to just shaking as he coughed

Halo's eyes are filled with worry, his thumb gently running across Bastians cheek. "Love, are you okay?" he whispers.

It took Bastian a moment to respond, but all he could manage was a shake of his head. He pulled his knees up to his chest, rocking himself back and forth a bit as he did so

Halo pulls Bastian close to him and hugs him gently, shutting his eyes as he gently holds Bastian. His grip is gentle. but tight as he holds on to the other.

Bastian sniffled, tears welling in his eyes as he leaned into Halo's touch. He shifted a bit, exposing dark bruises from where he had gripped his own throat prior

Halo gently kisses the bruises, before sitting up and running a hand through Bastians hair. "I'm here." he says softly. "I've got you."

Bastian barely acknowledged him, just nodded slightly as he held his knees tightly to his chest. He sniffled again, tears dripping down his face as his gaze remained unfixed

Halo's eyes turn sad as he gently kisses away Bastians tears. He begins to hum a lullaby that always comforted him as he holds Bastian to him.

Bastian eventually began to calm, a hand moving to wipe at his eyes shakily. He leaned into Halo, his presence proving comforting

Halo just holds him, gently running his hand through Bastians hair, whispering sweet nothings to him.

Bastian eventually relaxed enough to stop crying. He still sniffled occasionally, shifting now to wipe at his eyes. "I'm sorry, you…you s-shouldn't have to see me like this," he eventually mumbled

Halo smiles gently. "No…" he cups Bastians face. "I want your strengths and your weaknesses. They're what make you the man I'm in love with." he whispers.

Bastian looked up at him, a perplexed look on his face. "How could you want something like this?" he said as he gestured to himself with a sniffle

Halo smiles and kisses his forehead. "Good, bad, you're still my beloved Bastian. It doesn't matter to me, because in my eyes, you're perfect." he whispers.

Before he could realize it, tears were welling in Bastian's eyes again. He buried his face in Halo's shoulder, not wanting him to have to see him cry over something as trivial as Halo's love

Halo hugs him, shushing Bastian gently. "Easy now." he says softly, kissing the top of Bastians head. He smiles a little, rubbing Bastians back, humming quietly as he does so.

Bastian cried quietly, his face buried in the front of Halo's shirt. He never cried around people, never had people to cry around before. But he couldn't stop himself from crying as much as he wanted to

Halo smiles softly, "Just let it all out." he whispers softly, kissing the top of Bastian's head. He holds Bastian close, unwilling to let him go.

Bastian sobbed softly, eventually giving in. After a minute or so he finally quieted, too spent to cry any longer. He reached up to rub at his eyes, sniffling as he did so

Halo smiles and kisses the top of Bastian's head, smiling a little. He just holds Bastian, kissing away his tears.
