The snake looked up when Halo said his name, and Bastian chuckled. “Alright, let’s get him fed,” he said before walking into the kitchen

Halo follows after him, humming gently as he hoists Monty onto his shoulders.

Bastian led them into the kitchen, where he then began rummaging through the fridge

Halo gently pets Monty and smiles. He looks at Bastian. "Whatcha looking for?" He asks curiosly.

"Mice. Monty eats frozen ones so they don't hurt them," Bastian answered. He fished a tub of what looked like frozen mice out of the freezer, and he took one out before popping it in the microwave

Halo nods and gently scratches under Monty's chin. "You like mice, huh? I used to breed them and sell them." He mutters, chuckling a little.

"Well, I wish we had known each other sooner. Maybe I would have gotten his food cheaper," Bastian chuckled

Halo laughs, "I did it as a teen, since I had a python myself." He smiles. "I used to breed snakes, actually."

"Really?" Bastian asked, an excited sort of glint in his eye as he grinned. The microwave beeped, and he pulled the mouse out while Monty began swaying back and forth looking for it

Halo chuckles and nods, "Yeah I did." He smiles and watches Monty with bright eyes.

"Alright, let's go put him in his cage so he can eat," Bastian said, smiling as he booped Monty's nose

Halo nods humming as he walks back towards Monty's cage.

Bastian set the mouse down before taking Monty from him gently. The snake didn't seem to want to let go at first, though he eventually gave in and returned to his cage. Bastian grabbed a pair of tweezers from nearby before picking the mouse up and feeding it to Monty

Halo watches, humming in thought. He chuckles a little before leaning on Bastian a little bit, watching Monty with an interested expression.

Monty gulped down the mouse before retreating to one of his hides. Like this it was easier to tell that he was actually blind in one eye

Halo smiles softly and looks towards Bastian.

"Well, looks like he's going to be happy for a few days," Bastian chuckled. He wrapped an arm around Halo, smiling as he took a moment to press a kiss to his cheek

Halo chuckles, "You missed." he mutters, looking up at the other.

Bastian raised a brow. "Oh, did you want me to do this?" he asked, grinning as he pressed their lips together

Halo giggles, kissing back. He hums happily. "That's better." he mumbles.

"Dork," Bastian teased affectionately. He tugged him closer, pressing another kiss to his lips before gently leading him back to the bed

Halo snickers, "Nerd." He hums, smiling when he's kissed again, taking his hand as they walk back to the bed.

"I'll have you know that I am a jock. Or, well. Would have been," Bastian chuckled. He flopped down on the bed, tugging Halo with him with a small laugh

Halo chuckles a little. "You look like one." He nuzzles the other, laughing a little.

"I do, don't I? In the words of a friend, I am a hunk," Bastian chuckled as he tugged Halo to his chest

Halo nuzzles against his chest, humming as he smiles softly. "A hunk, hmm?" He asks, laughing a little.

Bastian hummed in agreement, grinning a little as he did so. "Yep. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen him in forever. I usually see him at the club every now and then, but the guy hasn't shown up in a while."

"Oh?" Halo mutters, enjoying Bastian's warmth. He places his hands on the others chest, smiling as he curls into the others chest.

"Yeah. Think he's still pissed about when I tried to screw with his boyfriend," Bastian chuckled, smiling as Halo curled closer to him

Halo glances at the other, his eyebrow raise, "Well no wonder." He laughs.
