The library just closed all of a sudden. it was before the time it was supposed to close, and there was never an announcement to say it was closing. Everyone who was there studying or just plain reading were trapped there and the time it would reopen, if it reopened felt like an eternity away.

Chicago looked up fearfully. The lights shut off, the heater shut off, and most importantly, the sound of a door locking met each of the teens' frightened ears.

Zyra looked up from her book when the lights were shut off and she quietly looked around.

Owen looked around confused about what maybe could be a power malfunction, he hoped.

It was probably a power malfunction…right? She sighed as she sat down in her chair again and fiddled with the hem of her shirt, waiting for the power to come back on.

He was slightly uneasy about it being so dark in here.

"Hello?" Chicago yelled. Her voice echoed. "Where ya at, my peeps? Who all is in here?"

The lights went out, disturbing Violet's book searching. She put the book back on the self and looked around to see if there were others still in the library.

Owen turned on his phone to use as a flashlight and replied hesitantly to whoever just said hello
"Um, hi?"

Violet heard some voices speaking. She wandered over the where she thought they cam from. “Hello?”

He shined his light where he heard the person "hello…"

"How many people are here?" She asked as she turned on her phone to use as a flashlight.

"Don't know but near the entrance should be the checkout counter, with a list of people who come in."

Violet covered her eyes as a light blinded them. “Well I’m one person, so add that to your count.”

"I'm gonna go check the thing." She walked over to the entrance.

He moved and sat under the table he had been reading at all this time.
