“In a way,” Blue affirmed. It really showed him the kind of hole he was stuck in. The coaster was exhilarating and terrifying, but it made Blue realize he had never done something like that before. Blue shook his head again at himself, then went back to massaging his shoulder.

Glad that they had returned safe, Kate looked around searching for something else to do. Every single ride had a big line, all at least a twenty minute wait. that is, except for the Ferris wheel. "Well," she said turning back to the group, "we can wait in line, get some food, or something." She shrugged.
"Are you hungry?" Xavier walked up next to Kate and nudged her. "I can get you something if you want?" He looked around. There were many places to eat, and he had enough. He could possibly feed everyone. "What would everyone like?"
“I’m fine,” Blue responded as he thought of the sandwich that Kate had given him. Though he doubted he would end up eating it today, he didn’t want to waste any more food.
"No, sir. You paid for entrance so I'll pay for food." Her heart was pounding from the nudge. She looked back at Blue. "And you, sir, are going to have at least one bite. That food in your bag is probably bad by now."
“I- I’m not very hungry. I don’t want it to go to waste,” Blue mumbled as an excuse as he wrung his hands.
"I have another bag. By becoming my friend, you have earned my concern, and Blue: you have earned my concern." She smiled. Taking care of people was the thing she felt she did best. "Now,' she said, turning back to the rest of the group, "I think food sounds great."
"I can go for some food." Xavier rised his hand. He mostly just wanted sweets, but figured eating real food would be better. Ty wrppaed his arms around Beth and Sam. "I'm done with it."

"Okay. Let's go in search of some food." As they walked along, Kate could feel the temperature dropping a bit. This is why you don't forget your jacket stupid. She stopped outside her favorite place. "Here. They have good stuff and even better ice cream. What do you say?" She looked around.

"If it gets ice cream I'm down." Xavier took off his jacket and put it on Kate's shoulders "okay let's go." Let's get some ice cream!

They started to walk in. She couldn't move. The jacket on her shoulders was warm and smelled like Xavier. "Wait, I don't-" They didn't hear her. Crap. She followed them, unsure how to thank him.
"Hello." The person behind the counter greeted. "Hello." Xavier went and sat at a booth, Ty following behind him close. "So, what is everyone going to get?"
Kate lingered behind, still speechless as they walked to the booth. How did he even figure out I was cold? Idiot idiot idiot idiot. "And you miss?" She snapped back. "Um, just. The. Just an order of fires is fine, thanks." She gave a smile.

"I'll have water with a BLT." He pulled out money and handed it to her. "No worries I'm just paying for myself. I hate when people pay for me.
Kate wasn't paying attention enough to stop the waiter to pay for Blue. The world kept spinning while she sat still. Why are you still hung up on this? You haven't even said thank you.
The waiter smiled before leaving to get their food ready. "We should ride something slower after this." Just ask her you coward. Xavier shook his head. He wouldn't be able to in front of all these people. As soon as we get outside I will. Yeah.
She looked up at Xavier. 'Honestly, the only thing that's significantly slower is the Ferris wheel, which only seats two per cart. i mean, there are rides that are a little slower, but not by much. There's one called the Fountain that might work." She tried to hide the hope that the Ferris wheel became their choice. Idiot idiot idiot. What are you doing?
(Sorry I was gone so long, I was pet sitting my neighbor’s chickens and we couldn’t get one of them in the coup and we were basically chasing her this whole time lol)

Blue bit his lip and mumbled, “I don’t remember the last time I was on a Ferris wheel.” He shifted on his feet.
"Oh, they're wonderful." She could feel herself smiling. "They're really the only rides I actually enjoy. I don't like the other ones because they all seem to shut down in the middle of it. But with the Ferris wheel here, it hasn't broken yet, and I don't think it should. It's taken care of. But the way you can see the whole park, it makes it seem like you're standing on top of the world looking to the ends of the earth." Kate's eyes lit up with delight as she talked about the only ride she felt safe on. And then she came back to reality. "I think you'd love it. It's just the two-seater thing throws everything off a little."
