"I'll go on if everyone else is fine with it." Xavier looked around. "We'll have to pick partners though." He was going to make sure him and Kate were on one together. This was a chance to be alone and get to know her better. Would she think its weird though, they only met this morning.
Kate tried so hard not to smile. "I mean, I'm good with going on." She felt like her heart was set on fire. But not like a burning forest fire, like a campfire by which you stargaze and roast marshmallows and laugh and sing and happiness and joy. Get a hold of yourself there. "Depends on everyone else."
“Okay,” Blue agreed, massaging his shoulder.

"Awesome." Xavier intertwined his fingers and rested his elbows on the table. Making it look like this was some serious meeting. "Whose going with who?"
"I don't really care," Kate said, although that was a complete lie.
"Well then, how about going with me?" He wanted to ask when they were alone but if he didn't know, someone else would ask her. "I mean only if you want to." He held up his hands in front of him. Please say yes, please say yes.
"I -um," she tried not to scream. She looked up at Xavier with a smile. "I'd like that." Yes. Yes. Yes.
Blue hid his smile. They looked cute together. He forced himself to look at the ground, but a tiny smile still appeared on his face at the humor of it. Blue wished he could sit with someone he had a crush on.
A huge grin appeared on his face and his eyes lit up. "Wait, really?" He didn't think she would say yes. He's glad she did, he just wasn't expecting it. Yes! He celebrated in his head.
(Awe, now I really want to find someone for Blue.)
Kate smiled wide. Then realized she was smiling too wide. She looked at the table. "I mean, yeah. Sure."

"Wonderful!" He said a little too excited. Calm down Xavier. "We'll head over when we're done eating. Xavier couldn't wait.
Kate kept her head low. She had never smiled so wide. Just have to make it through food.
The food came and was eaten. The entire time all Kate could think of was what was going to happen on the Ferris wheel. She could barely eat the fries as the fully grown butterflies had taken up a great amount of space. Once everyone finished, they got up and headed to the ride. It had no line which confused Kate because it was the best one. "So everyone has someone to go on with?"
“Um…” Blue mumbled. He didn’t know who he was sitting with. Blue awkwardly shifted his feet and his hair fell on his face.
