Andion’s eyes flicked to Xavier and he toyed with the dagger at his side, twisting it this way and that before saying, “Go ahead.”

"Claira agreed to be my date to the prom." He said proud of himself. "After all these years." The ball needed to come sooner. "Do you have a date?"

“No, and you know why I don’t because I have to be on duty.” Andion said, firmly.

"You need to loosen up and find yourself a girl." Xavier took his feet off Andion's desk and leaned forward on his elbows. "I could help you."

(Well Elliot is gonna go towards the stables she can bump into him)

“No. I’m the Captain of the Royal Guard, I cannot be with someone.” He said, a little harsher then intended.

Isobel was walking her horse along the trail to back to the stables. She rarely had a moment away from attending the queen so she spent every waking moment away from that horrid castle and then even more horrid people who resided within.

"Okay, alright, chill I get." Xavier held his hands up. "Have you never, ever thought about having a family some day?" Andion was too serious, Xavier thought he helped a bit. Without him Andion would be stoned faces all the time.

Andion shook his head, “It’s not something I cast my mind too. Besides, even if I did who’d want to marry someone who is half blind and all they do is work?”

"You mean, who would want to marry a strong man who is able to protect her, kind and extremely handsome?" Xavier chuckled. "Um, everyone. I've seen some of the maids checking you out before." Andion would have all the girls at his feet if only he would smile more. If he went to the ball dressed up it would held a lot.

Andion shook his head, “Xavier, it isn’t going to happen.” He said, “I’m going to the ball, alone, and I’m going to be on duty the entire evening. End of discussion.”

Xavier stopped talking about it. He knew better then to push Andion's buttons. "Well, can you at least act excited for me. You know how long I've been trying to get Claira to go anywhere with me."

“Of course I’m excited, I just don’t show it.” He replied, fiddling with the dagger.

Victoria went to the ballroom and stood in the corner, watching the staff decorate the room.

The corner of Andion’s mouth tugged up slightly into a smile, the only sign of amusement that showed, “I have plenty of friends, alrthough they all despise me because I always win at cards.”

"If you say so buddy." Xavier had to get back to work, he was putting it off way to much. "Are we going out tonight?" He headed for the door. Nothing was going to get done if he wasn't there to tell people what to do.

“We can head to the pits, meet back here at eight. Don’t wear anything too fancy and only bring some money and a sword or something if you want.” He replied, any sign of amusement now completely gone from his face.

"Yeah, yeah." He waved walking out the door. "See you tonight." Xavier closed the door behind him and headed towards the ballroom. He hoped he would run into Claira on the way to talk about when she was going to work on his suite and to just see her face, it would be highly unlikely. She is a busy woman and tries her best. When he walked in he saw Tori. Dang, does she know I skipped out on work? "Tori, what brings you here?"
