Riseley shook their head.
"Well, bye," they said, walking the other way, "The corridors are designed to be circular for a reason, I guess, though it probably wasn't for annoying little girls."
Riseley shook their head.
"Well, bye," they said, walking the other way, "The corridors are designed to be circular for a reason, I guess, though it probably wasn't for annoying little girls."
"Excuse me?" Brooke exclaimed, standing up with an incredulous look on her face.
"What?" Riseley asked, perfectly innocent
"Did you– Did you just call me a little girl?" Brooke demanded. "And an annoying one, at that?"
"Maybe" they said, "After all I am older than you."
Brooke glared. "By, what, five years? Yeah, so much of a difference. Plus, the captain is only two years older than me."
"She's not annoying." Riseley pointed out matter-of-factly.
"Ugh… And why am I annoying?" Brooke asked, leaning back against the wall with her arms crossed.
(I need sleep. Lol.
It's after 2 AM here…
I should be back tomorrow sometime.)
(Bye D: It's 3:20 p.m.here)
(Its i:25am here)
(And you're awake?)
(Yeah it’s 2:24am now and I just finished a bowl of pasta)
(OK I am going to assume it is normal for people in America to do this)
Riseley walked away toward the staircase leading towards the deck. Brooke is by far not the most infuriating person onboard, some other people argues way more. Sometimes they wonder how had they not started killing each other yet.
(I’m in Canada lol)
(Still America. North America;) )
(OK I am going to assume it is normal for people in America to do this)
(I wouldn't say it's normal… I just didn't want to go to sleep. Lol.)
(Lots of people say that)
(True.)
“No. He cried himself to sleep last night. I feel kind of bad. But he can’t ruin another raid, especially if there’s one in Jade or Ruby. We don’t have as solid of a reputation there.”
“Have you given him his duties for the day?” River asked letting Aquarius prowl around
“Not yet. I was going to give them to him after breakfast. Let him talk to the others one last time,” Cicada responded, “You can come in Brooke.”
Brooke huffed at Riseley's retreating form, then turned and entered Cicada's room.
"Captain," she greeted her with a nod. "I am ready to navigate as soon as you need."
Riseley wondered if they should start sketching again, then decided to go back towards Cicada's cabin. Brooke is probably gone by now, and they needed to hear what Cicada is going to say
Cicada smiled to Brooke with a swift nod, “Good. We’ll be leaving shortly after midday. Our destination for the time is Pearl, but from what I’ve heard skirmishes have broken out between them and Jade, again. So we’ll need to be careful.”
"Of course. I'll find routes that can take us around anything that might hinder our progress," Brooke said.
Riseley cursed softly under their breath. How can that girl still be there? Quietly, they unbuttoned their coat and retreated into a nearby corner
“Thank you,” Cicada told her with polite head nod of dismissal.
Riseley took off the coat, staying absolutely still, waiting for Brooke to come out. She probably won't see them anyway
Brooke have the captain a slight smile before walking out of the room. She glanced around, searching for someone. She didn't see them, so she simply made her way back to her cabin.
Riseley heaved a silent sigh of relief and trailed behind her, putting back on their coat
(I'm typing this on my teeny tiny phone. It's annoying as hell)
(srry about that, my dad's flight got cancelled and he had to use my laptop for work. How many pages did i miss?!)
