He opened the disinfectant, applying it quickly. "Sorry."
He opened the disinfectant, applying it quickly. "Sorry."
Kace nodded hazily. "No problemo…" He winced, the disinfectant jolting him back into a state of pain.
He cleaned it up, going to wrap it in bandgages.
"So… ha… where was I?" Kace turned his face to look at Oliver. "Because you and I both know… I'm not going to live through this. I can't." He laughed gently. "That's impossible!"
He shook his head, still more focused on dressing the wound
"Yeah… hey… don't I recognize you from somewhere? Aren't you-" He gasped gently, which interrupted his sentence.
"Sorry." He mumbled, blinking rapidly. He turned his brown eyes to him. "What?"
Kace started coughing gently. "You… you're Oliver. I'm Kace. From high school?" He laughed hazily and weakly. "We went to the dance together. Small… small world… huh?"
He nodded. "And now I'm trying to bandage you up in an abandoned alleyway in the middle of the night. How did you even get here?"
"Well, that's a long story, and I don't think I'll live to tell it." He laughed again.
"You very much are." He said determinedly
Kace traced Oliver's face and his features. "You're very handsome, you know. If I survive, I think I'll take you out on a nice, proper date. Get to know you better."
He blushed, tying off the bandage. "Come on, let's get you to a hospital, they can do a better job."
Kace threw an arm around Oliver and used him to sit up. "I don't think I'll be able to afford a hospital, though."
"My job has insurance, now come on." He said softly, holding onto his arm and wrapping his other arm around his waist to hoist him up.
Kace stood shakily. His black clothes were stained down the side with blood from how deep the scratch was. Kace ignored the warmth and shook his long blonde hair out of his face.
"You shouldn't have to pay for me, Ol."
"I'd rather pay then let you die." He said stubbornly, leading him along.
Kace shook his head. "I forgot how stubborn you were." He grinned. "I always loved it."
"…Shut up." He mumbled, cheeks burning
Kace laughed gently. "Alright, alright. But… it's great to see you again."
(Are you here?)
"Yeah, you too…"
Kace nodded. "Yep. So what have you been up to?" He stumbled over something and tightened his grip on Oliver.
"A lot."
"Really? Would you like to tell me? Oh," He paused, "Don't tell me you got someone." He sighed in disappointment.
"Ah, no, haven't… had the time…"
"Then what have you been doing?" Kace glanced at the other.
"School, plus a job…"
Kace sighed. "Geez, now I really feel bad taking your money. You need it!"
"It's fine, chill. Seriously."
