Emilia distantly floated off, her body told her she was cold, but she paid no mind. She was all for those strange humans, reaching out and purring in a strange tone of voice.

'No, for missing the funeral you haven't cried, haven't done anything.'
"What's the point of doing anything anymore? I'm done with this." Rose walked off to the lake to go find Emilia, her face stained with tears.

Emilia didn't stir as she approached, just kept her eyes shut and faded away in her subconscious.

Rose started to dry her tears but saw Emilia sitting in the water, not aware of any of her surroundings. She ran over to her and tried to gain her attention. Emilia's subconscious was winning, Rose did the first thing that came to her. She dragged Emilia out of the water and laid her down in the sand.

Emilia's breathing was slow and steady as if she were asleep, and she didn't respond to herself being dragged out of the water. The necklace shone like neon lights in the dark.

Rose noticed the mysterious locket on Emilia wondering if it had anything to do with why she was blacking out. So she reached onto her bare chest and removed the locket from her neck.

As soon as the locket disconnected Emilia jolted awake, breathing heavily and looking around. It felt as if someone had just poured a bucket of water over her head.

Rose saw that Emilia had awoken, and started to blush realizing that she was naked.

Emilia was still gasping gently and recovering from the aftereffects, not noticing anything, not even her body's signs of coldness.

“What were you doing.” Rose stared down at her.

"I… I was taking a bath, and I found that locket." She stood and took the locket back, suddenly feeling protective of it.

“I know that, but why were you sitting in a trance?” Rose asked letting her take the locket.

"I don't know. The water felt nice I guess." Emilia pulled on her clothes and put the locket on again.

“If you say so.” Rose watched to see if anything else weird happened.

"Shall we start walking?" Emilia asked suddenly.

“Ya sure, I guess.” Rose went over to pick up the bread.

(I have to leave for a party soon so sorry I just suddenly ghost you)

Emilia picked up some bread too and started walking, feeling odd and disconnected… but in a good way.

They’ started out in an awkward silence. “So… tell me about yourself, I only know very little. Considering that I only met you yesterday.”

"I'm not one of any origin. I'm as much as you met yesterday." Emilia shrugged.

“Well then what have you been doing in the asylum to pass your time?” Rose skipped instead of walking, it always soothed her.

"Just… sitting around. I never really did much, since the nurses paid a lot of bad attention to be."

“So I guess just a lot of you and your thoughts? I have a lot that goes on inside my head, that’s part of the reason of why I was there.” Rose glared at Lisa who was walking next to her.

"Yeah. A lot of it…" She drifted off to herself… in her thoughts and to those people.

“So do you know why there was the whole nurse in the basement thing? I mean like it’s kind of weird for them to do that.” Rose couldn’t think of anything else to say so decided upon that.

"It's the darkest place where they can easily hide their patients when they're done with the mind alterations." Emilia shook her head. "It's disgusting."

“But why do they do it, what’s their motivation?”
‘Probably tired of taking care of all the crazy people.’ Lisa budded in.
“Shut up.” Rose whispered so quiet that she couldn’t even hear herself.

"I dunno. Maybe for science?" She shrugged.
