(That would be great! like yas yas)
Zackary shrugged. "No fights no grudges." He shrugged nonchalantly. Zackary's face passed in a look of worry. "The babysitter gets off at seven and it's six thirty right now… Do you know if there's anyone after me? I can't really afford to lose so much time."
Oki, how old is Jace btw, cause if he's like, 5 or something, he could call Seth his demon friend or something//
He nods, "Yeah, clean slate, right?" Seth thinks for a moment, then chuckles, "No, not really. They usually stop hiring once they hire me. If you'd like I can walk ya." he teases lightly. He leans back casually against the wall as he watches the other curiously.
(I was thinking like 7 or 8 yea)
Zackary shrugged his shoulders a little higher up so his bangs fluttered in his face. He wasn't sure if the other saw his scar yet, and he didn't really want him to see it. "I suppose you could. I don't care."
He chuckles, "Four eyes are better than two, right?" He teases lightly. He was in a strangely good mood. He had noticed a small bit of the scar, but he didn't mention anything in case the other was uncomfortable about talking about his scars, he knew was was easily embarrassed, or just ashamed by his scars.
Zackary nodded mutely feeling quite odd. He looked around; he hadn't felt this way in a while, and he couldn't quite put his finger on what it was.
"Shall we go?" He heard himself say.
Seth shrugs and nods, "Yeah, sure." He leaps from the building, using his scythe to help him slow down before he splattered across the pavement. He hums as he waits for the other. He smiles slightly. But he felt something different. He had only felt it once before, but where the before was, he couldn't tell.
Zackary swept off of the top of the building carefully, using a beat from his gigantic wings to hold him for resistance. Once he landed they faded away quickly so no shape was visible. He trotted over to Seth and nodded.
Seth stared at the others wings with longing. He had wings once… He shakes his head, drawing himself from the memory. "Shall we go then?" He says, bowing politely. He chuckles lightly, running a hand through his pure white hair.
"Yeah." Zackary started walking after looking up and down the sidewalk. He walked at a quicker pace now that he wasn't being followed and occasionally looked around. Eventually, the path lead up an earthen path to a homey little cottage.
Zackary pulled his keys from his pocket and went to unlock the door before it was thrown open in Zackary's face.
"I QUIT!" A woman shouted. She was short with straight black hair and pearly glasses.
"Wh-what? Erika, you can't quit! I don't have anyone to cover!"
"Make him do it or something!" She shouted ecstatically and pointed at Seth over Zackary's shoulder, "Just not me! Not anymore!"
Seth hums as he walks, glancing around. He rarely ever visited the human world, so this was kind of exciting. He kept in pace with Zackary. He smiles at the comfortable little home, 'This man is more modest than he appears…' He thinks silently. And then the door is slammed open. As the woman yells ferociously, he growls lowly. He hated it when people yelled. Make him do it? Do what? "Miss, please calm down." He says slowly, his purple eyes glinting slightly.
Erika glared briefly at them both and stormed off to her small Saturn-brand car. She drove off and Zackary sighed deeply and dropped his posture.
"Damn…" He sighed and walked into his home, for his expression only to be turned into one of a very happy man. He scooped up his rather tiny son up in his arms who was quietly exclaiming, "Daddy, you're home!"
Seth hesitates at the door, unsure if he was welcome in this happy little reunion. He glances outside, watching as the female, Erika was it? left. He sighs lowly, watching the father and son. He was quiet, glad he had decided not to kill Zackary, he couldn't deny how happy the young boy was to see his father.
Zackary set his son down carefully and looked over his shoulder at Seth. "Jace, this is Seth."
Jace beamed up at him with normal human teeth (not habiting Zackary's sharp ones, that is), his light gray eyes sparkling. "Hello, mister!" He squeaked happily, holding Zackary's free hand.
Seth kneels down, "Hello, Jace." He says kindly, ruffling the little boys hair. "It's a pleasure meeting you." He says sweetly. He adored kids, that was no secret. He spoiled them rotten, sure, if they misbehaved he'd take care of it, but he was nothing but a sweetheart to young kids. He chuckles lightly, "Your daddy has spoken very highly of you." he says, smiling softly.
Jace smiled sweetly and sat down on the ground, reaching up to fix his hair.
"He's six, but he looks to be about four." Zackary purred affectionately as he lifted up his son. Another look of worry passed over his handsome features. "The pediatrician's worried he won't hit the growth curb on time. So he might be a short teen."
Seth chuckles, "I understand the pain of being short." He says lightly. "I didn't hit my growth spurt until I was around 17." He says, humming in thought. He chuckles lightly, and ruffles Jace's hair. "I should probably be heading off… I'm gonna get in so much trouble…" He mutters, thinking of his father.
"Alright… I'll have to sit on who is going to replace Erika…" Zackary mused gently. Jace interrupted, "She was mean. I didn't like her." He grinned up at Zackary.
Zackary sighed and his posture dropped again.
Seth looks up, biting his lip nervously. He probably ruined his likes of being hired, since he went soft, so he says as lightly as he can, "I could… I could watch Jace if you needed." He says, standing slowly. His eyes glint gently, and he smiles a little.
"Would you?" Zackary asked breathlessly, composing himself again and looking at the other. "That would be fantastic!"
Jace cheered in Zackary's arms quietly.
Seth chuckles awkwardly, "Yeah, I can watch him, what time do you need me in every morning?" He asks curiously. He releases a pent up sigh. He was really screwed now, but at least he had a job. Maybe he can take a break from the demon world, get out of hell for a little while.
"Almost always around nine or ten o' clock. I'll pay you and everything. Thanks!" Zackary grinned.
Jace wiggled and Zackary set him down.
Seth nods, "Yeah, nine or ten, got it." He smiles at Jace. "Thanks for letting me watch you." He says lightly. He ruffles Jace's hair before turning to Zackary, "Thanks for letting me babysit." He says politely.
Zackary bowed slightly. "Thanks for watching him. People always have to be fired because I find that they're not nice to him." Zackary put a hand on his son's shoulder and nodded at Seth. "It'd be a relief to know that you'd protect him too."
He smiles, "Gladly. I'll see you in the morning then?" he says, placing his hands in his pockets. His eyes glint happily as he glances at the other. "I really appreciate this. I think I'm gonna take some time away from… from ya know." He glances at Jace, unsure if he knew his father was a demon, or half blood at least.
"Yeah. Hey, here's my number in case… something happens." He grabbed a piece of paper from the kitchen and a pen and scribbled down his phone number in curvy numbers then handed it to Seth.
Seth nods in appriciation and takes the number, "Thanks." he says, waving. He smiles softly before smiling at Jace, "I'll see you tomorrow." he says, holding his hand out to Zackary.
Zackary raised a hand and closed the door gently behind Seth. He stared blankly at its wooden surface for a moment, totally perplexed as to why he liked the other so much. Only when Jace requested that he had a small bedtime snack did he start and begin to help his son through the nightly process.
Seth walks back out onto the streets, heading towards the nearest hotel. He hums, and enters his room once going through the whole process of checking in and leans back against the door, his heart thudding loudly and freely in his chest. He makes a portal to his room in the underworld to grab a few essentials and then returns to the hotel, relaxing in the large bed. He hums softly to himself, the sound enchanting and peaceful.
Zackary tucked his son into bed and went downstairs then made himself a cup of coffee. The prospect of sleeping an empty and cold bed again seemed daunting, even after meeting someone new. Zackary sighed and pushed his face into his hands, his heart aching for human contact, as it has been for months; his demonship came at a hard price. It was either lust and love, or violence and bloodshed. This was one of the moments that he couldn't control. Being half-breed is tough on him, yet this might be the worst challenge for him to oversee.
He fell into a peaceful sleep, twitching every once and a while, but other than that, he was pretty still. He tended to only need about three hours of sleep per night, since he was a demon, he rarely needed sleep to function. He snoozes softly. He had only experienced love once, and it was such a long time ago he pretty much forgot about it.
