"Eh, I like rain. Helps me sleep since insomnia and anxiety are a bitch," Connor said, shrugging as they turned to look more at Clare. They yawned, rubbing at their eyes as they did so

“Well I was seriously hoping that we would have to spend the night anywhere, especially in a creepy ass cabin in the middle of the creepy ass woods,” Clare pointed out.

"Honestly, everything becomes creepy and ass when you're hiking," Connor said with a small laugh. "This is why I'm an indoor person to be honest."

“Yeah I know that, but I like hiking, and it’s never this creepy,” Clare hummed, crossing one of her legs over the other at the knee. She looked over towards a window, the woods looking a bit dark from how the storm clouds blocked out the sun.

"I don't know, man. I mean I'm a sucker for creepy stuff, hell, I make stories about it all the time. But this feels like a different kind of creepy, y'know?" Connor said with a shrug

“Yeah, I get that and I am too. But yeah, I guess this is kind of strange,” Clare hummed, lips pursed as she got up, squinting out the window.

(oof I watched the whole movie and now I have questions as to whether or not both of us are going to survive)

Connor nodded. "Well, I guess we can deal with satan in the morning. I'd like to sleep the creepiness off, to be honest," they said before beginning to rummage through their bag

Clare gave a huff and a nod, walking over to her bag and pulling out the sleeping bag she had grabbed. She laid it out, sitting on it crisscrossed.

Connor pulled their sleeping bag out as well, struggling with it for a moment before crawling into it. "Goodbye, freaky ass cabin. I will see you in the light of day, where I will be able to convince my paranoia that I'm not about to die."

(Yeah totally lmaooo)

Clare laughed, getting into the sleeping bag. She rolled onto her side, huffing as she tried to get comfortable on the hard floor.

Connor shifted quite a bit, taking their glasses off as they rolled around. They closed their eyes, the dim light in the cabin casting strange shapes that got their imagination working into overdrive without their wanting it to

Clare shut her eyes, resting with her head tilted onto her arm as she laid on her side. She did her best or try and fall asleep, though the idea of being in a strange cabin in the woods made her uncomfortable.

Connor eventually fell asleep, though the process was slow and arduous. They were pretty much buried in their sleeping bag, barely even a bit of their face showing from beneath it

Eventually, after what could have been a few hours, Clare flinched awake, panting heavily and trembling. “Fuck, fuck,” she cursed softly to herself, bringing her hands up to rub at her face.

Connor jolted awake a few moments after her, breathing heavily as they clutched at their sleeping bag. "Ohh….hoo boy, fuckin'…" they rambled, shaking noticeably as they tried to bury themself in their sleeping bag

Clare’s head jerked over to look at Conner when they woke up. “Connor, Connor, what the fuck. I had the most fucked up dream, Jesus Christ,” she said quickly.

"Try me bitch, this cabin just went monster house on us," Connor said before promptly burying themself in the covers again. They rolled a bit, though their eyes widened as they felt something wet on their chest. "What the…" they began as they sat up, though they were quickly flailing and swearing as they realized that blood had seeped through their shirt in a sort of five-fingered mark

“What the fuck?!” Clare exclaimed, her eyes widening. “Holy shit, you’re bleeding!” But as she moved closer, she felt a sharp pain in her upper chest, and looked down to see the same red spots seeping through her yellow tshirt. “Holy shit, I’m bleeding!”

"Holy fuck, we're bleeding. Holy fuck, we're bleeding!" Connor exclaimed frantically. They tugged the collar of their shirt down, just enough to expose the bleeding mark in their chest. "Hoo, fuck, okay, we're fucked. This shit ain't gonna fly, we're getting the fuck out of here."

“What the fuck could have done that, and how did we not notice?! I am a very light sleeper, so I think I would have noticed something stabbing me in the chest!” Clare exclaimed. She pulled the front of her shirt forward so she could look down at the marks on her chest.

“I don’t fucking know!” Connor exclaimed in a high-pitched voice. “I don’t know what the fuck or why the fuck!”

“Okay okay, fuck. We need to think logically about this. I know we packed a first aid kit, we should have bandages that we can out over the holes to stop bleeding,” Clare said, crawling over to her backpack.

“Yeah, yeah. Just…fuck, what do you think did this?” Connor asked, their voice shaky with near panic as they continued to stare down at the holes in their chest

“Fuck, I don’t know, that’s why I asked you before. Did you feel anything?” Clare asked, back to Connor as she dug through her backpack, pulling out a small plastic bag of what looked like pain medicine and bandages. She opened it, tossing some of the bandages to Conner.

“I think I fucking would have noticed getting molested by a demon!” Connor exclaimed, fumbling as they caught the bandages. They grimaced as they opened the package and began to press them over the wounds

Clare opened a bandage, pulling her shirt down a bit to press the bandage to one of the holes. She repeated the action, doing so until all of them were covered. “Need any pain medicine? I have acetaminophen if you need some.”

"Um…maybe in a bit. They seem to be deep, but not really painful. Weird considering it looks like that once scene from Indiana Jones where the dude rips people's hearts out and eats them," Connor commented absently

“Thank god we didn’t get our hearts ripped out,” Clare said, opening the pill bottle and pouring two pills into her palm. She took out a water bottle and put the pills into her mouth before swallowing them with water.
