“So if I understand this right, you’re say I’m like an undercover bodyguard? I’ll be with you but it’ll look like we’re just friends.”

“More or less. You can possibly still be a part time writer too. But I’ll have a look at your work before we make any big decisions”

"When can I start?" She jumped up out of excitement.

“Right now?” He said, calmly. Of course we will have to move a few things around but that office right there” he said pointing a finger to his left, which happened to have a door connecting the two. “Is open and you can set yourself up in there”. He grinned at her and sat back up straight.

"I get my own office?" She said jumping up and down. "Is there any special requirements? I mean can I wear skirts and dresses?" She says motioning down to what shes wearing." Or can I do whatever as long as I protect you?"

“Pretty much. But I’d recommend making sure you have shorts on underneath just in case.” He said chuckling. “But yes you get your own office, everyone needs their own space. And the point is to hide you and make it seem as though you’re not there. And if you get a position as a part time writer you’ll need a place to write and keep your things anyway.”

"Who am I to even consider leaving the house with out shorts on under my skirt." Mina says lifting up her skirt just enough to show her shorts. "Who will the people working here think I do? Like a secretary or something, but I'm assuming you have one."

“They won’t know a thing. Everyone except Candy will probably ignore you unless you speak to them directly. They do that to each other and you’ll just seem like another one of them with a fancy office instead of a cubical.” He said.
they'll probably think I’m doing her so she got a big promotion. But she doesn’t have to know that he thought.

"So what exactly do I do right now? I mean like I protect you and all but not in your own building. Plus I don't have that writing job and I have nothing with me." She threw up her hands so show that they were empty. Maybe I could explore the building if there is nothing to do. I would need to learn my work place in order to fully protect him.

“Well we can get you set up in your office. Or I can give you a tour. Or we can have Candy get you set up for the computer, a whole password and work email and the like” He said. “Which ever you’d like to do”

"I'd like to explore, but I like the idea of getting set up on the computer."

“Well which is it sweetheart?”

"How about I get on the computer, then I'll explore."

“Okay. Cants down at her desk, I’ll call her to have her start setting up a password.” He said reaching for the phone.

"So while we wait can you tell me about yourself, because I'm assuming I'll be spending a lot of time with you."

“What do you want to know?” He asked dialing in the front desk line number and waiting for Candy to answer.
“Hi Candy it’s me. Can we get our new worker set up on the computer in the office next to mine? Yes password, email, everything else. Thanks sweetheart. Yes just email me the information. Buh bye” he set the phone back and looked to her again.

“Well I will be protecting you so I would like know where I would have to protect you, and if you could give me a crash course on your life that would be nice also.”

“Let’s see just here in the building, whenever I go out of the building for business. And if you’d like you can stay at my place. It’s plenty big enough, and my niece could use an adult female. She gets a tad bored of me.” He responded.

"You have a niece? How old is she? I love kids." She said smiling.

“I do. She’s 7” he smiled back at her.

"Whats her name?"

“Maria”

"That's such a pretty name, and earlier you said stay at your place. I just moved over from Japan and I'm currently staying in a hotel, so that would be nice."

“Of course. I can give you a ride to the hotel, and then to my place if you need one.”

"Can I get a tour of the office building first?"

“Well yea of course. I meant later.” He stood up, glancing at the clock. “Well it’s almost noon so how about after lunch?”

"Sound good to me." She said with a slight jump of excitement.

“Well we can take our lunch break then” he said and walked over to the door and held the door open for her.

She walked out the door then waited for him to lead the way to lunch.
