She ignored him to the best of her ability and drank her coffee.
She ignored him to the best of her ability and drank her coffee.
She heard him mumble something again, but he seemed to be quiet for now. Maybe she could manage to go to work.
She finished her coffee and headed out to to work, hoping that he wcould be quite so she could focus.
On her drive there he was actually quiet, maybe an occasional sob, but that was quiet for him at this point.
She climned out of her car and walked into the office bulifding she worked at and sat down at the front desk.
Soon, the clock hit 12:30 and it was time for her to take her lunch. The man had started to get restless around 11:45, and it took all of her might not to yell at him.
She walked into the cafeteria and got a salad. She needed the healthy food to keep her at 110%. She couldn’t screw anything up today. Tomorrow was the bosses big meeting and she had to make sure everything was perfect and ready.
"I can't… I can't rest… I need to find them… I need… I need to… kill them…"
She was getting irritated but at her lunch in silence.
Just a few more hours. Just a few more
"They… have to… you… you don't understand, do you?" He stirred on the ground and looked at her, directly. "I need something… I need… I need to kill…"
She continued to ignore him and finished her salad. She stood up and walked over to the garbage can and threw away her trash.
He growled faintly in his throat and slammed his head repeatedly on the ground. "I just want to die… why…?"
“Stupid” she mumbled and walked out to her desk.
*why me? Why do I have to put up with this?”
The man stirred so he was sitting up again and slammed his head against the floor again. No cry of pain… no groan of agony… he seemed to be doing in for the pain; if there was any.
“Will you stop that?” She said. She was thankful nobody else was around.
He paused and glared up at her. "Why would you care?"
“Because it’s annoying. And I’m trying to focus. And because your obviously trying to hurt yourself.”
"Yeah? Well, it's not working, so just shut up." He slammed himself back on the ground and brooded there quietly.
She rolled her eyes and went back to work.
He laid there with his back to her, running his nails up and down of his forearms while growling dog-like quietly.
She, as usual, ignored him and continued doing her work. By the end of they day she was exhausted, and ready to throw herself down a large set of stairs.
He remained stationed in this manner for the rest of her shift and when she drove home; maybe he was calming down. Maybe he was getting worse.
She arrived at home and tossed herself into bed. She was incredibly tired and ready to go to bed even though it was only 5:30.
He was oddly quiet, but she knew he'd visit her dreams.
(I gtg to bed sorry!)
(Okay! G'night! Let's hope a Restless Spirit doesn't visit your dreams…)
(Nope not tonight. But the hot air monster scared the cold one away and it was so hot in my room.)
(Ooof. Sorry bout that m8. Wanna continue?)
Kendra slowly fell asleep in her work clothes. She knew she would wake up in an hour or two but she didn’t care.
But she didn't. Her dreams were quiet and uninhabited. When she woke up the next morning, she felt well rested.
