"I can't stay here with the Sirens after me. They'll hunt me down and kill me and anyone working with me or standing in their way."
"I can't stay here with the Sirens after me. They'll hunt me down and kill me and anyone working with me or standing in their way."
"They haven't even began searching for you though!" You're safe here!"
"They might! They might swing back around and start searching apartments for me and Sobex!"
"We'll take it together then!"
"No! I'm moving away from you so you can be safe! You're a great person and you don't…" He sighed weakly and continued in a weak voice, "You don't deserve me or the trouble I bring. No one does."
"I want to make sure both of you are safe! I don't want the Sirens finding Sobex again! I don't care if trouble follows us!"
Gij shook his head. "I… I don't want to argue about this with you. I've changed many people's lives in bad ways, and I don't want it happening to you."
"It won't be that way Gij." She crossed her arms. "I have to say I've grown attached to the two of you this past day, so I'm sticking with you no matter what."
"It'll have to be that way. It has to be. It's the path I walk, and whenever it connects with another it always ends badly."
"Gij, I don't care! Either you stay here, or I come with you."
"No! It has to be that way! You can't care! I go, and you stay. It's all that's acceptable."
"No." She said calmly. "You either sit your ass back down on the chair, or I come with you. I…" She trailed off.
Gij shook his head stubbornly. "I have to go, Sia. Unless…" He inhaled deeply. "There is no unless. I have to go."
"I'm. Coming. With you." She stated. "Please Gij."
"No. You can't." He shook his head.
Sia scowled. "Gij, I care about what happens to you and Sobex. So I'm coming with you."
"We'll be fine. You might not, therefore, you cannot." Gij's voice had a weird firmness to it and Sobex yapped gently.
"No, I will be. I can take care of myself out there. I've had to do that since I was 14 years old."
"I…I don't care! You'll have to see a dragon decendant's life straight up, and I don't want that for you! The way you can stay the safest… is to… stay away from Sobex and I. School systems say that dragons are dangerous… and I agree with that." Gij pushed the chair in to turn his face away from Sia; to hide the tears welling in his eyes. I don't want to go… but I have to… to keep her safe.
(I'll be back a bit later)
Sia knew she should simmer down, but she was to emotional to think correctly. "School systems also tell you that your parents love you! And that there was no way they'd hurt you!" There were tears in her eyes now. "But they didn't! They hated my guts, and I never understood why!" She choked back a sob and took a deep breath. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have brought my personal life into this."
(Okkk)
"No." His voice was soft and shaky. "They were right about dragons. They… they're horrible. I'm ashamed to be half of one, because of how… bad they are. The school system lies hands down, and I'm going to let them be right for once. Dragons especially half-breeds, are terrible and dangerous. I never should've come with you."
"If dragons are so terrible, why did you save Sobex?" She murmured.
"Sobex was being abused. I am referring to… half-breeds. Sobex is totally different."
"Gij, I don't care what happens. Come what may, I'm sticking with you. I don't care if you think half-breeds are dangerous. You're my friend."
Sobex yapped in agreement and Gij shook his head. "You'll change your mind yet. All half-breeds bring is sorrow and misfortune."
"No, I won't Gij." She pulled him into a hug.
Gij pulled away, shaking his head. "We… I can't let you. I have to go. You can keep Sobex, he'll keep you safe."
"I don't think Sobex would want to be separate from you Gij." She took both his hands into hers. "I'm coming with you, and staying with you. No matter what happens."
Gij pulled his hands out of her's. It's just a ruse. Gij stumbled back but caught himself
"He'll be fine, he doesn't need me either." He stretched back and grabbed hold of the dragon pup.
Sobex yelped like no dragon should and held on the best he could, soon, however, Gij overcame him in strength. Gij held the flailing Sobex away as if he was going to hurt him.
"Gij! Please! I don't know how to care for a dragon! Don't leave me please!" Sia hated that she sounded like she was begging.
