Sobex yapped fitfully and flailed.

"Quit whining ya big baby." Sia giggled, setting him down. She measured out vanilla extract and mixed it with the egg and butter.

Sobex walked over to the flour as Gij continued fishing the flour out of the bag. Sobex yapped and scrambled towards it. Gij pushed him away.

"Child, don't make me…" Sia trailed off as she realized she wasn't sure what she'd do to discipline him. Spanking didn't really work on him. "Lock you in the attic with the boogies and boggarts." She finished.

Sobex didn't care whatsoever and yearned towards it again, whining. Gij pushed him away.

Sia bit her lip. Why the hell had she said that? All that made her think of was the damned cellar. She took a shaky breath and finished mixing the egg and butter. She got the baking powder and soda and fished around in drawer for the measuring spoons.

Sobex paused and yapped, his stripes turning a dark red. Gij looked over and noticed her elated breath. "What's wrong, Sia?" Gij paused in his movement.

"Nothing." She said, shakily measuring the baking soda.

Gij grabbed one of her shaking hands and leaned into her, feeling concerned. "Are you okay? How about you come sit down?"

"I'm fine." She murmued, taking a deep breath. I'm fine…

Gij quietly sat her down and started boiling some water.

Sia started zoning out. She shook her head, frowning. She couldn't remember the last time she'd had this problem, so why was it happening?

Gij made some tea for her, making sure it wasn't so hot and set a teabag into it, and started burning some lavender incense.

Sia took a deep breath. Too bad I ran out of sage yesterday, that could've come in handy

Gij pulled the bag from the tea and threw the bag away before giving it to Sia.

"Thanks Gij." She said, smiling slightly. She sipped the tea quietly, hands still shaking slightly.

"You're welcome." Gij smiled warmly and sat down next to her. "So… what's wrong?"

"Nothing really. I just… kind of set myself off. Saying that to Sobex reminding me of the cellar." She shuddered slightly.

Gij put a hand on her shoulder and rubbed it soothingly. "Sorry. I…" He grinned faintly. "I'm not the best at consoling."

Sia smiled softly. "It's okay Gij."

Gij's grin increased into a small smile too. "Do you want me to finish the cookies?"

"No, I need something to occupy my mind." She said, taking another sip of her tea.

"Okay." Gij took his hand carefully off of her shoulder and spun his fingers together.

Sia finished her tea and stood up. "Thanks again for the tea Gij." She said, smiling.

"You're welcome." Gij smiled back, wondering if Sia's smile was a fake one, then rose himself.

Sia took a deep breath, feeling the tea take effect. She finished measuring out the baking powder and started measuring salt.

Gij finished with the flour and waited for her to say the okay for it.

"Let's see, am I forgetting anything? Nope. Alright, dump 'er in there." She said.

"All… of it? Just… phoOMP it on in there?"

"No. It'll go 'poof' and go all over the place. Just shake it in gently."
