Kamryn knocked on the door
Cynthia Ogg decided to pay a visit to Meg, but she was gone. A note on her door said "At Adeline's, call back later." Cynthia frowned. Well, she might as well go there, just to see what Margaret was up to. She knocked on the door.
Adeline opened the door, an annoyed expression on her face. She ushered them in and shut the door. "I swear, if anyone else knocks I'm just not going to answer the door." She muttered. "Go sit on the couch, Meg can tell you all about her situation." She walked back over to the kitchen, "I'll be making tea."
"Since when did you have parties without me, huh?" Nanny Ogg asked.
"Well," she called from the kitchen. "We're actually talking about breaking up a party. A wedding, in fact."
"Oh, weddings. So romantic. I remember when I married my first husband. Miss Ogg to Mrs. Ogg." she sighed, reminiscing.
"Well, you don't need to retell the story. I've heard it many times."
"Yes, I know you have. But breaking up a wedding? That's new."
Kamryn sat down”so what’s happening?”
"Well, erm….." Margaret began. The letter had reminded her to tell them not to come so they would insist upon it. And Margaret knew she really did need all the help she could get. "Well, none of you have to come….." she mumbled.
Adeline smiled. "Darling please. I'm sure we'll all come with you."
"But I don't think…. you…. should….. erm….."
“What’s the problem?”
"Darling, please. We aren't going to let you go out alone and die! Have you seen those knights? They'll kill you in a second." Adeline said, coming back into her living space. She handed out the cups of tea and sat back down next to Meg. Her familiar immediately jumped back into her lap. "Why don't you want us to come with you?"
"Well, it's not that I don't want you to, I just thought you might not want to come." a small voice belonging to Margaret squeaked.
"You know I always love the opportunity to ditch normal witch life."
"Well… I suppose you could," she said. As if I ever really had a say in the matter in the first place. Margaret added in her mind.
(Anyone here?)
(Me!)
(Hello!)
(Hey!)
"And we will, darling." Adeline said, her mind made.
Kamryn sits there awkwardly
"O-okay, um…." Margaret trailed off, unsure what to say next.
