Arianna squeezed back, braking into fresh sobs.

When they pronounce you dead, which will be in exactly five minutes, they will be proven wrong… you have been given Death's Appreciation… use it well…

"I know!" She sobbed. "B-but maybe if I had gone out looking f-for when I first grew worried he wouldn't of-" She broke off crying.

Someone hopped out of the back of the ambulance and started looking over him, once finished evaluating, he murmured to a police officer: "He's dead"

but oh how wrong he was.

Eki jerked suddenly and inhaled deeply. His mouth was tinged with the taste of blood and his shoulder and head ached. The police officer and medic were shocked.
"He-he's alive!"

"shhh, there is nothing that you did wrong. you couldn't have changed this, if anything if you did go looking you would be dead too." he said quietly

He looked over in shock.

Arianna shrieked, rushing over to him "Zeke! How?!"

The medic and their assistant was helping him up out of his blood. The bullets were gone, and the wounds were bleeding gently. Eki was gasping for air desperately, but he wasn't dying, according to the police officer.

He sat there in utter disbelief

Arianna rushed forward, trying to get to Ezekiel. "Zeke, Zeke! Are you alright?!"

The men sat Eki down on the floor of the ambulance and he nodded. "Yeah… ugh, I have this major headache though…"
"Sir, that's because you got shot there. It's a miracle you didn't die!"

he walked over to a paramedic and asked "Are you sure he will be ok. he kind of was shot."
