Greek Gods would not make good modern day politicians. Imagine that say Zuess was the president and then ranking down is ranking down. They're rules and customs completely go against your constitution.

Greek Gods would make great politicians. They're accustomed to power, and most of the time are fair (occasionally they're moody, but who isn't? Who doesn't have their bad days?) Compared to Roman or Aztec gods, they're rather lenient in punishment, merciful, and reward do-gooders. Really they only punish rulebreakers.
And who says it's just American politics? I got this from a worldwide event I participated in. I debated this against some girls from….. I don't remember. Kenya, maybe? Their delegation was huge lol

Okay. I actually have issues with Obama lol. Not saying I don't have issues with Trump.
But not rating it on that scale
I have issues with the entire 2-party system. Democrats and Republicans tend to screw a lot of it up. When our country gets candidates elected outside the two party system it tends to be for the better, tho it's only happened a few times in history (and I'm out of hs don't expect me to remember which ones…. maybe Lincoln?)
Balance your media, don't consume just one source. Do your research. Don't just listen to your parents. Learn on your own.

That confuses me because we don't have freedom of speech. If you say something hateful publicly you look at jail time. Free speech, our first amendment right, literally just means we can criticize the government without fear of retribution. It doesn't excuse being a jerk. Which, honestly, sometimes I think we should because America is extremely hateful, but that's another topic.
The shooting problem derives from our nation's stigma against mental health, and lack of mental health/sanity checks when people go to buy firearms.
I'm not too informed on the public opinion of death row here, but I do know that we have it, it's just incredibly slow, and inmates often die of old age rather than the lethal injection or whatever the state uses (I think a state recently reintroduced firing squads as an option but again…. other topic.)
Greek Gods didn't kill rulebreakers that much? Like, punishments, yes. But I can't think of a myth where they flat out killed someone?
Torture? Yeah, that was common, and not all that humane (Prometheus, having his liver ripped out repeatedly by Zeus's eagles). But it was also an ancient method, and the Greek Gods are adaptable- we saw that in how they were adopted and changed to fit the Roman culture. Theoretically, they would adapt and fit our culture, but also improve it, because of their roles as gods. Also, many of the gods did work to help humans and bless them. Take Athena, for example. She invented the olive tree, which was a staple in ancient Greece, both in agriculture and the economy.
