She progresses like a child after breaking down. She'll get better as time progress, sticks tongue out "Death is fine. Paige's death not fine. It would happen. But it shouldn't happen. It was too early."
"Too soon to us but to the universe, it was her time, don't you think it's a better place where she is?"
She leaned back, tapping her leg with a restless boredom. She could never stay still for too long without doing something, her anxiety and insanity would never let her. It was the main reason she was such a slave to her work. It kept the restlessness at bay.
She couldn't waste her breath. Is that what he was trying to do? Get her to talk herself out? Instead, she focused all of her energy on standing up.

"We need to do something to hold off the Oni," he said to her, "We need time to kill Void without killing me but meanwhile I can sense one downstairs,"

"God you're pathetic, you're lucky Darren would kill me for your death or you'd be a goner…" he shimmered and dropped her in front of Lillian and Darren, "Does this belong to you?"

"Why can't I be there instead of her?" Lillian sighed. Her fingers moved lightly tapping on her thigh. Paige never got to live her dreams right? Lillian had lived through plenty of hers. So why Paige and not her?
"Oh yeah? Like what? What can we possibly do to do either of those things?" Her gaze flickered to the door, her tapping only growing faster and more impatient.

"I don't know… Something," his voice was urgent, "He's coming up the stairs,"
The shimmer had sent waves of dark magick through her, so by the time that she was in the bathroom, her body was unconscious.
She could feel the sickening combination of dread and worry climbing up her spine, turning her stomach into a whirlpool. "Neither do I." Her voice was quiet, slow like she'd forgotten how to speak. When she was out of ideas and given up but was also worried or scared, it was how her voice would always sound.
Ryan turned to face the Oni in the doorway, this time the Samurai didn't look scary or threatening, it had a knowing look that Ryan returned. Ryan sighed, Void would hurt Belle and he couldn't let that happen, so his next move was long before calculated and seemed to be his best option. He fell to his knees in surrender as the Oni pulled a sword slowly, this was his plan and he hoped to God it would work.
The worried panic set in a lot faster than normal and her stomach lurched. She nearly threw up. What was he doing?! Oh no oh no oh no. No no no this isn't happening.

"No, she is friend," Lillian responded.
Wake up! Please, let me wake up!
"Please don't hurt her," Ryan looked up at him, the sword was unstained, the light glistened off of it. The Oni gave a single nod that was enough for Ryan to calm down even as the sword plunged into his chest, it shook his body but the only noise he made what a slight yelp, if there was one thing he was taught, it was that he shouldn't make a sound… Not a sound. He didn't look scared, his blue eyes held a confidence as he stared up at his killer and then to Belle helplessly. The sword came out of his chest covered in blood and he fell limp to the ground, lifeless. A black smoke came from his chest, Void couldn't live in a dead body.
(I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT TY I HATE YOU I KNEW IT I HATE YOU I KNEW IT!!!!!!)
Her heart caved in on itself. She gasped, clasping her hand over her mouth, her eyes glistening with tears. She knew he'd come back, hopefully, but this hurt. A lot. She fought back her sobs, her mental breakdown. He'd be fine, right?

(HEEHEE I KNOW YOU KNEW IT!)
(No.)

The Oni turned around and looked at his sword, then Belle. He placed it next to her, "Sorry, had to be done," he left in a black puff of smoke, leaving the sword for Belle he hated his job sometimes.
(Why am I the only one who expected this and doesn't care?)
Ryan lay limp on the floor, blood puddling into the carpet slowly expanding.
(Why am I the only one who expected this and doesn't care?)
(Lol)
(Yeah, I saw this coming. But felt like I needed to leave a reaction lol.)
She couldn't look at it. She could barely breathe. She curled into a ball, drawing her legs to her chest, wrapping her arms around them, burying her face in her knees, and sobbing. This hurt so much. She felt like she was suffocating, all the air in the room sucked out like a vacuum.
With every once of blood drained from his body, the further he got from life, he slowly faded into his fate. His heart had stopped beating, his breath was gone, he was gone.
Paige gasped awake. She'd felt the death. "No. Ryan…"
Darren turned to look at her, "What about him?"
"Did he die too?" Lillian asked with teary eyes. Why did everyone around her die? Maybe he's not dead, but. But.
