Vien nodded before beginning to cook. He started with the eggplant, tossing a stray slice to Baal here and there as he did so

Ruby barked and flailed around in his arms. "Baal'll be back soon, calm down…"

Baal whined when Ruby barked before sliding off the counter. He had a slice of eggplant in his mouth, and he carried it over to Ruby before dropping it in front of her

Ruby sniffed it and picked it up in her mouth, and gave a muffled bork of thanks.

Baal gave a sort of happy noise before clambering back to Vien. The smell of food began to waft into the living room, Vien humming absently while he cooked

Ruby ate the eggplant and barked again. Vin patted her head absentmindedly, enjoying the smell of food.

Eventually the eggplant parmesan was done, and Vien moved onto the lava cakes. The smell of food slowly changed to the smell of chocolate as he cooked

Ruby barked again and flailed in Vin's arms.

Vien continued to cook, changing the tune he was humming while Baal attempted to sing along. It didn’t sound too great, but hey, they were enjoying themselves

Ruby finally broke away from Vin and scrambled into the kitchen barking.

Baal yapped from on top of one of the counters while Vien laughed. "Looks like Ruby wants food too."

Ruby hopped up and threw her paws onto the counter, straining for Baal, whining.

Baal made a sort of growling purr before reaching his head down to nuzzle Ruby. Vien had just finished the lava cakes and was setting them on the table. “Come get them before they go cold!” he called

Ruby barked happily and licked him. Vin got up from the living room and sat down in one of the chairs. "It smells great!"

"It'll taste even better," Vien chuckled before sitting down as well

Vin collected crockery and set the table. He put a spatula next to the casserole and picked up his fork, licking his lips in anticipation.

Vien reached for a plate, cutting himself a slice of the eggplant parmesan before giving a small piece to Baal

Vin cut a piece for himself and set it on the plate. He began to dig in. Mmmm… this is good.

Vien took a bite of his food before Baal started yapping for another piece. He rolled his eyes before giving the dragon his own large piece

Vin finished his bit in a matter of seconds, and Ruby set her head up on the table, near Baal, whining.

Baal took a piece of his eggplant and gave it to Ruby, purring happily while Vien reached for a second slice himself. "Is it any good?" he asked

"Hell yeah!" Vin said appreciatively as Ruby licked Baal in thanks.

Vien grinned happily at that. "That's good," he responded before taking another bite of his food

Vin got some more and continued enjoying it. Ruby whined for more.

Baal kept sharing his piece with Ruby before whining for more. Vien handed him another piece, patting his head before returning to his food

Ruby barked faintly and wagged her tail. Vin collected another serving of the food.

"I think your dog likes Baal," Vien commented before finishing his food. He looked over at Baal, who was currently occupied with Ruby

"I think your dragon likes Ruby." Vin chuckled as Ruby licked Baal again.

Baal yapped and nodded in agreement. Vien got up, putting his silverware in the sink before grabbing himself a lava cake
