"I'd let you sleep, but I'm kind of worried that you're suffocating," Daus mumbled, a small smile tugging the corners of his lips up as he glanced down towards Erikos and the pillow covering the others face.
"I'd let you sleep, but I'm kind of worried that you're suffocating," Daus mumbled, a small smile tugging the corners of his lips up as he glanced down towards Erikos and the pillow covering the others face.
"I'm perfectly fine, thank you," Erikos responded, hugging the pillow closer to his face as if he was trying to prove a point. He let out a sigh, humoring Daus by letting the pillow shift so that it was only covering the bottom half of his face
"Just checking," Daus chuckled as he looked down looked down towards Erikos, laughing a bit when they hugged the pillow closer to their face. He yawned and brushed a few strands of hair away from his face before leaning back down against one of the pillows again.
"You were probably hoping I was dead so you could take me to the underworld," Erikos teased, moving the pillow so that the top edge was right below his chin. He turned to face Daus a bit, a lopsided grin spreading across his face
"Definitely. I'm waiting for the perfect moment to murder you so you can be my buddy down there," Daus laughed, smiling a bit as he looked towards Erikos as well. "I don't have a lot of friends down there…unless you count the sarcastic ghosts that like to bother me," he added, chuckling a bit at the thought. He knew a few ghosts, but most were vengeful or extremely sarcastic and moody.
"Well, I'd be sarcastic if I was dead too," Erikos chuckled. "But no, I wouldn't be a ghost. I'm not sure how it works, but when half demons die they turn into full demons. Which is strange, because then you've got to wonder how the first demon became a demon. I just hope I'm not tied to the river like mom was. I want to go explore and stuff, you know?"
"I used to be the most sarcastic ghost in existence," Daus joked as he propped his elbow up, resting his chin on the palm of his hand as he looked towards Erikos. He nodded in understanding to the other's next comment, humming in thought for a few moments. "You could be like Popeye the sailor man…except you're a demon. Just make sure to visit me whenever you do die," He said as he smiled faintly.
"I'll figure some way to visit you out. I mean, eating people and terrorizing merchants can only occupy so much of my time," Erikos said with a small laugh. He ran a hand through his mess of dark hair absently, some stray locks sticking out at odd places
"You really only realize how many people die in one day when you have to judge all of them," Daus sighed, laughing a bit as he looked towards Erikos. He reached out and brushed a few of Erikos' messy locks down, not realizing what he was doing before he stopped and pulled his hand back.
Erikos tensed up a bit at the touch, his face flushing a bit. God damn it, stop blushing like a little girl! he shouted at himself in his mind. In an attempt to play it off he simply laughed at Daus' comment. "Well, I'll try not to kill too many people when I'm a demon then," he chuckled
"Yeah, that would be nice," Daus answered, laughing softly as he laid down on his back for a few moments, intent on not letting Erikos see the pink tint on his cheeks. Since he was paler, he was sure that it was already visible.
"Your face is doing the thing again," Erikos pointed out, resorting to teasing Daus about his similar issue. Wait a second. Daus was blushing. He was blushing. What did that mean? He hid his face in the corner of one of the pillows, something strange and warm curling in his chest
"It's called blushing," Daus mumbled, though it came out a bit muffled as he hid his face with the sleeves of his sweater, not daring to meet Erikos' gaze. He cursed himself mentally for being so flustered, but it was something that he could barely control most of the time.
"It's kind of cool-looking. I mean you're sort of pale, so it adds…color or whatever," Erikos said slowly, trying and failing not to trip on his words. He was struggling to find the right words now, which was horrible considering he was usually easy to talk to
"I didn't know blush was cool-looking. I heard that it usually makes me look like a dork," Daus joked as he peeked towards Erikos through his fingers, mentally willing his blush to fade away, though his cheeks continued to have a warm sensation.
"Pssht, you know what I mean," Erikos said, waving his hand theatrically before looking away. God, now he was flustered and embarrassed. What was wrong with him lately?
"No, not really. Care to explain?" Daus teased as he looked over at Erikos when the other man glanced the other way, hoping that most of the blush on his face had disappeared. Erikos didn't seem as confident, so maybe he was just as flustered?
"No, I care not to explain," Erikos huffed before grabbing his pillow and putting it over his face. An idea came to mind, and before Daus could react he tossed the pillow at his face with a wide grin
"Erikos!" Daus said, laughing loudly as the pillow hit his face. He sat up and picked it up himself, throwing it at Erikos as a broad grin crossed his face. "You're going to pay for that," he added in a sing-song tone, laughing even more as the pillow hit the other's face as well.
“Bring it, twiggy!” Erikos shouted, laughing as he tried and failed to catch the pillow. He brought it above his head, laughing madly as he began to chase Daus with it
Daus laughed and pushed himself off of the bed, grabbing a pillow as he chucked it across the room towards Erikos. A broad grin spread across his face as he ran in a different direction, intent on not letting Erikos hit him with a pillow.
“Get back here, you coward!” Erikos called, laughing madly as he chased Daus around the room. Eventually he gave up on running and simply dived after him, managing to grab his leg and knock him over
"I'm no coward," Daus answered between laughs as he fell to the ground, looking towards Erikos as the other boy was still wrapped tightly around his leg. He brushed a few strands of hair out of his face as he began to laugh again, grabbing the pillow nearest to him and throwing it at Erikos lazily.
Erikos hugged Daus' leg tighter, still laughing even as the pillow smacked him directly in the face. He grabbed it off of him, grinning as he let go of Daus' leg with one hand and chucked the pillow at him with the other
"Dork," Daus laughed, turning away so the pillow hit the side of his face. He grabbed it and tossed it gently towards Erikos, laying against the floor as he attempted to catch his breath as he realized that the other was still wrapped around his leg.
Erikos grabbed the pillow, still holding onto Daus' leg as he took the pillow and placed it beneath his head. "Jeez, worn out already?" he teased
"You're tiring," Daus protested, propping himself up as he leaned back on his elbows, smiling brightly as he looked towards Erikos. That was the most fun he had in a while, even if it was just throwing pillows at each other.
"And you're boring," Erikos complained before letting go of Daus' leg. He sat back, grinning at Daus as he shifted so he was sitting on top of the pillow
"I know," Daus sighed, shrugging faintly before he grabbed the pillow next to him and chucked it at Erikos' face. He laughed loudly, pulling himself up as he ran towards the other side of the room.
"Son of a bitch!" Erikos shouted as he was whapped in the face by the pillow. He smirked wildly before holding a hand out. Water from the river next to them flew through the window, surrounding the pillow he was holding before launching it at Daus
