Keenan? Maddox followed slowly, peering nervously over the top of the rock.
Keenan? Maddox followed slowly, peering nervously over the top of the rock.
"Hi!" Matrix drifts over the new guy, upside down
“H-Hi,” Keenan replied, still a bit shaken. He lowered his arms and backed up a bit when the other guy started to get closer.
Maddox swam after Matrix, a bit of red leaking through the seaweed wrappings. He looked at Keenan, slightly afraid.
“Are you ok…?” Keenan asked the guy with seaweed wrappings and what looked like blood soaking out, pointing at it.
"Hmm? Oh.. that. Um, yeah, fine. Little incident with a boat; nothing to worry about."
Keenan nodded, “Well, uh, sorry for interrupting whatever you guys were doing, so I’ll just be going now and I’ll be out of your hair.” Keenan started to swim away.
Moxiey turned away from Maddox. When she heard him swimming away, she didn't follow. He got hurt. He got hurt because of me. I hurt him.
"Moxiey?" Maddox called out. "Where'd you go? Moxiey?"
"Stay away from me, Maddox, I hurt you," Moxiey cried. Her hair swirled around her face.
"You didn't hurt me!" Maddox swam over to her. "I hurt myself. I should have noticed the anchor. It's not your fault."
"Yes, it is. If I hadn't gone…" Moxiey moaned.
"It could've happened to either of us. If I had been the one who gone… I don't know."
Moxiey turned around to look at him. "I should've just stayed home. I'm sorry, Mad."
"It's not your fault." Maddox said quietly, looking into Moxiey's eyes sincerely. There was a slight sadness in his eyes, but also a drive to prove to Moxiey that she was innocent.
Matrix had righted himself and was just hovering there, slightly above Keenan
"Okay," Moxiey whispered and ducked her head. Sure, Mad. Sure.
"I don't want you to blame yourself for this, okay?" Maddox lifted Moxiey's chin with his good hand. "We have to get back to Lucinda. She's probably worried out of her mind right now." He grabbed onto her hand and began swimming away.
Moxiey swam a little slower than usual, the nagging guilt weighing her down.
Matrix had righted himself and was just hovering there, slightly above Keenan
Keenan glanced back, noticing Matrix. He swam under a few things, around others, weaving his way around, trying to loose the other guy.
Maddox swam ahead, looking around for Lucinda. "Lucinda! Luce, are you there? Hello? Lucinda?"
Matrix looks around under him then to the small current where Keenan had disappeared
Keenan sighed in relief, he didn’t see the guy anywhere, had he lost him? Keenan sat still, staying quiet.
Matrix swings forward, following the current. He comes up to Keenan and huffs, shaking his head, "Ya know. It you're trying to run or escape someone, make sure you cover your tracks
“Gah!” Keenan yelped, “Stop that!”
Matrix laughs and swirls around Keenan, "Right."
“What do you want?” Keenan grumbled, a little annoyed.
"I dunno. Why are you running?" Matrix swims upside down infront of him with a laugh
“I just don’t wanna talk right now,” Keenan mumbled.
Matrix narrows his eyes then shrugs, "Ok." And he disappears
