Aidan jumped out his car, ready to meet his friends after barely seeing them all over the summer holidays. He ran over to them and greeted them all with warm smiles and hugs. They were already discussing the soccer team for the year, captains and what not, along with what girl they thought would go out with them. Aidan rolled his eyes and laughed as they entered the hall as a group.

Olivia stood in the hall alone and looked around. 2 more years and she was free she thought. she hadnt got the high school sweethearts thing most everyone else seemed to get. 2 more years for that too she halsmiled at her own internal joke.

Hayes stepped out of his car with a sigh. Another year, another set of mental breakdowns, He thought as he walked towards the building.

Elliot walked into the hall, trying to rummage around in her backpack at the same time. Had she forgotten her lunch? Really?

“Hey, Aidan when do you think you’ll ask a girl out this year.” One of his friends asked, “Um.. probably never..” He replied.
