Miranda and Jared untied and ungagged her and Ginger collapsed from the chair. She pushed herself up. "My phone."
"No reason to be, you aren't so bad of a brother yourself,"
Rachel dropped it in front of Ginger, "Here."
Leo sighed, "I guess."
Ginger scrambled for it and raced out of the house. In the doorway, she saw Lillian and stopped dead.
"You guess? What is that supposed to mean?"
Lillian couldn't bring herself to look at Ginger. She whispered, "Hey. I'm sorry. Your parents are worried, you can take the bike if you want."
"You guess? What is that supposed to mean?"
"I can't exactly forgive myself for leaving her there with them. I don't think I ever will."
"No. No, no Lillian. You have to leave. Now!" Ginger tried to push Lillian away, not knowing of the threat hanging on her own life.
Lillian grabbed Ginger's shoulders, dropped the keys into her hands, and looked into her eyes, "I can't. If I do Rachel will kill you. Please just go home."
"I don't care," Ginger insisted. Rachel had helped her, in a way. She made Ginger remember how truly worthless and weak she was in this world. "You have to get out of here now. I'm not going to tell you twice. "
"You guess? What is that supposed to mean?"
"I can't exactly forgive myself for leaving her there with them. I don't think I ever will."
"But you came back. That's better than most. And you feel bad about it so what does that say about your character?"
Lillian walked past Ginger, "I am not letting her pull you into this. Go. Now."
Leo smiled, "I guess it does say something. You know Lillian is part of the reason I went to med school. I want to help people."
Ginger moved swiftly and blocked Lillian, tears in her eyes. "It's to late for that," she whispered.
Leo smiled, "I guess it does say something. You know Lillian is part of the reason I went to med school. I want to help people."
"That says even more," Darren smiled, "You really are a good person and you can't hold yourself accountable for the past. When I found out I would need the second surgery, I stopped beating myself up over my past and started new with people and things got better. My brother and I are better and we were enemies before."
Leo laughed, "Really? That's great!"
Lillian let out a long sigh, "Please. Don't. I've lost too many people. Your parents don't deserve this. Just go."
Leo laughed, "Really? That's great!"
"It really is!" He nodded, "What I'm trying to say is letting go and not holding grudges especially against yourself, it makes things better,"
"So have I," Ginger said, not looking up. "And I can't imagine how long it would take for me to…" She blinked quickly.
Lillian looked her in the eyes, "Stop. Just go. I'll see you later okay?"
Leo let out a sigh, "I guess your right, but I'm holding on to that one thing."
Leo let out a sigh, "I guess your right, but I'm holding on to that one thing."
"It's not worth holding onto but if you insist," He laughed. Lillian and Leo held a similar stubbornness.
"Lillian…" Ginger sounded defeated. Shunned. Kicked to the curb. She didn't move, but there was still a section of for that she wasn't blocking.
Leo looked at him, "Whatch you laughing at?"
Lillian fought back the tears as she walked back, "I'm sorry."
Ginger sunk to her knees as Lillian entered Rachel's house. Her heart felt beaten.
Leo looked at him, "Whatch you laughing at?"
"Nothing… It's just you and Lillian are very alike in certain ways,"
Rachel slammed the door behind Lillian. She grabbed her wrist and started dragging her, "Don't resist and we will be just fine."
Lillian had given up on that though her body struggled anyway. Rachel kicked her in the back of her knee and Lillian collapsed.
Leo shrugged, "Makes sense."
Ginger pounded on the door. "Lillian!"
Rachel dragged Lillian down the stairs to her basement. She started to tie her up and shouted, "HEY MIRANDA! JARED! I FORGOT I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO DO! I'LL SEE YOU GUYS TOMORROW!"
Ginger sobbed. She shouldn't have given in. She was weak.
Miranda yelled back. "M'KAY! TEXT ME?"
Rachel had tied Lillian's hands to the walls, "WILL DO!"
The ropes cut into Lillian's wrist causing them to bleed slightly. Rachel found some chains and chained Lillian's feet to the ground. Oh how she had been waiting for this day.
Ginger pushed herself up and ducked out of sight when Miranda and Jared came out the front door, got into Jared's pick-up, and left. She had to break in. She hesitantly picked up a stone, reminded herself why she was going to do this, and threw it through the biggest window.
