@Fraust
"Not exactly. You're not a child, and I'm not armed. You aren't tied up, unconscious, in a bag, or drugged. Tea?" She gestured to the kettle.
"Not exactly. You're not a child, and I'm not armed. You aren't tied up, unconscious, in a bag, or drugged. Tea?" She gestured to the kettle.
"That's not what kidnapping means. It means taking someone away against his or her will and no thank you for the tea."
Vixie rolled her eyes. "You're fine. You haven't got anywhere to be, anyhow." She sat down in one of the chairs, looking out the window and playing with her hair. It had been a while since she had had hair to play with rather than a tail.
"Was it that obvious?" He as he sat down in a chair in front of Vixie.
"I'm not stupid, you know. I know when people are lying. And if you're coming to the forest for food, I doubt you've got much to 'sell at the market' anyways." A bird flew in the open window and landed on Vixie's shoulder.
"Okay then. So what do you need from me?"
"Well, I need to convince you that I'm not a freak and I changed back for a reason." Vixie stroked the bird's head gently.
"Okay then, Shoot."
Vixie hummed softly to herself. There didn't appear to be much of a real song, but the bird responded to it by mimicking it, chirping happily.
"Hellooo, you gonna answer me?" He asked impatiently
(O I thought he meant like 'Shoot, that's a problem' not 'Ask away' sorry lol)
"I was cursed a few years ago. The curse turned me into a fox, and it would break only if I found true love. It would lift temporarily, for 24 hours, when my true love entered the forest. I would have 24 hours to convince them that they are in fact my true love, and if I succeed, the curse is broken permanently. If I fail, I change back into a fox until I die."
(it's fine)
"And i'm your true love?"
"Presumably. I wouldn't have changed back if you weren't."
"Okay then, try to convince me i'm your 'true love' "
"Well, a lot of that will come down to your willingness to believe it. The curse is only broken when my true love enters the forest. That's the main bit of proof I can give you, considering you were the only one to enter the forest today."
(easily believes her DONE)
"Anything else?"
(THAT WOULD MAKE IT EASIER FREAKING LEON)
"Hmm… how do you feel when you see me? Describe it."
(lol, usually he's pretty easy to convince so ye)
"I felt that you were just another pretty woman who's out of my league. What about you?" He asked.
(Not out of your league if I'm TRYING TO DATE YOU)
"A powerful man who won't put up with nonsense, but with the potential to become compassionate."
(Apparently at my sister's fiance's work, one of his coworkers said, "(His name)'s engaged to a girl so far out of his league that we had to invent a new league." And had him show pictures. My sister's pretty good looking lol)
(He didn't KNOW THAT)
"That describes me pretty well."
(Lol)
Vixie nodded. "It takes you a little while to understand things, but once you do, you're devoted to them. Ambitious, but knowing where to draw the line, unyielding, yet with the ability to become caring."
"Okay then, kinda starting to get creepy on how precise you are."
"I'm sure you could go into the same amount of detail about me if you tried. True love means that each person can see the little things in their significant other. The little things that make them who they are."
"Makes sense. You're a woman of power, people admire you because can be calm under pressure and you're practically a human calculator. But it takes some people to notice these features about you since you're always so quiet and you can be a flirt at times."
Vixie nodded. "My parents named me after the fox for my red hair, but I have lived up to the name of the vixen in many ways. Perhaps that is why the curse transformed me into that particular animal."
"Probably." He shrugged
Vixie twirled a section of her hair around her finger, sighing quietly. "The vixen is an interesting creature. It's curious and loves to soak in new information in unique ways. She's passionate and interested in other foxes."
(should he believe her now?)
"You seem to know a lot about vixens."
(Sure?)
"Of course I do. I spent three years living as one."
