(You can think quietly? WOOOOOAAAAAAHHHH lol)
Rvan looked at her, coming out of his half shadow form, "N-No." He immediately looked away and started twindling his fingers.
(You can think quietly? WOOOOOAAAAAAHHHH lol)
Rvan looked at her, coming out of his half shadow form, "N-No." He immediately looked away and started twindling his fingers.
“Did your family just not bother to tell you?”
"I- uh- My parents sheltered me a lot before they died," Rvan explained, tried to hide the red in his face. He could basically feel the awkwardness dripping from his voice.
“That was unforgivably cruel of them.” Skylar said very seriously. Her mother may be strict, but frankly her mother had to be tough. If she hadn’t taught Skylar about the lust of men and evil of the Council and sheltered her from them instead, Skylar would be dense less without her mother. It made to Skylar now why Rvan was so scared and so unaware of the ways of the world.
"…I mean… They weren't cruel…" Rvan mumbled. His parents had loved him.
Skylar wanted to argue Rvan, but it occurred her that she might very well be terrifying Rvan and probably not her place to argue with someone about there dead parents. His face was still bright red. Skylar glanced at her watch. She had an hour of free-time left in her schedule. She glanced at Rvan who was helplessly twiddling his fingers. Many his parents were content with Rvan being let in the dark, but Skylar certainly wasn’t. Even if it did mean helping her opponent.
“Well, Rvan today is your lucking day because I happen to be an expert on the world of dramans.” Skylar grabbed Rvan’s hand and started walking. “And you are going to learn about it whether you like it or not.”
Forcing a child to except the hard reality of life.
Her mother would be so proud.
Rvan was sure he turned a brighter red as he felt her hand touch his and she pulled him up, "W-What?" Rvan scrambled to his feet as she tugged him through the crowd. Her hand was warm. Rvan felt his face get hotter.
(Pop! Crackle! Snap!)
Skylar tugged Rvan through the crowd, ignoring all of the prying eyes. She knew exactly where to take Rvan: the memorial dedicated to Deviros and Natalia. After making a few turns between a few towering skyscrapers, Rvan and Skylar arrived at the memorial. The memorial was flashy to say the least. (I can explain more about its appearance later if you like) but the key structures in the memorial are the eight stachues (or however you spell that word). The two stachues in the center are of Deviros (picture a big powerful black dragon) and Natalia (a human woman). There are three smaller stachues on each side of Deviros and Natalia. To the left side are stachues of a fire dragon, water dragon, Earth dragon. To the right are stachues of a ice dragon, thunder dragon, plant dragon.
“Do you know the ancient lore about us dramans, Rvan?” Skylar asked in a non accusatory tone.
Rvan looked over the stachues. The stachues were very large and intimidating, and he was sure the stachues were built by very strong people. After all, stachues needed to be carved and sculpted, so stachues took a lot of work. Stachues were also very beautiful. You see, stachues could be made of many different types of material. Stachues could be made from marble. Stachues could be made from granite. Stachues could be made from glass. There are many types of stachues.
(Literally I love you my sister)
Rvan looked at the statues in awe, "My parents didn't really teach me of much draman history. I know that we were created by Deviros and Natalia."
(Type "do a barrel roll" into google search. It is amazing)
“Well, honestly I’m not really sure if I believe it all myself. The legends say that Deviros was once a malevolent god who had once rampaged the Earth, until Natalia, a young priestess tried to calm him. Deviros fell in love with Natalia and Natalia returned his feelings. It wasn’t long before six children were born out of their love. Their children could freely change back and forth between their human form. They were the first dramans. Although as time passed and Natalia grew old, Deviros decided that he wanted to give his godly powers (which could be shadow powers if you like) to his children. There was one problem with that: he could only give his powers to three of his children. This led Deviros’s children wage war against one another. Fire fought ice. Thunder fought water. Earth opposed plant. Deviros was so displeased with his children, he swore that none of them would receive his powers. And the legends claim that Deviros is still out there, searching for one descent to give all of his power to. And millennia later, we are still fighting to earn Deviros’s power or at least that what the few dramans who support the arena say.”
(Go to google search…)
(Can Rvan be religious, but not to deviros but like he's Christian?)
(How about that his powers are unknown, but they are actually shadow powers)
(To the second post yes)
(To the third sounds good)
(Did you try the google search "do a barrel roll"?)
"God is the only god," Rvan countered (Not fiercely or anything, but stern), "And I don't get the point of the arena. We're just slaved into entertainment."
Skylar eyed, Rvan with eyebrows raised. “You should be careful saying that out in the open, Rvan. The Council hates Christians and they will make your life miserable if you are that open about your faith.”
"It's freedom of speech," Rvan said quietly, but stern once more. He looked from the statues to Skylar, shy still still but firm. Then he gave a small smile, "Thanks for taking me… around."
(Making it unread on your side)
Skylar smiled at Rvan. Turns out the he did have backbone after all. Although, her expression darkened when she remembered the last thing she wanted to tell him. “Rvan, there’s one more thing you need to know.”
Rvan saw her expression go back to intimidating and instantly felt embarrassed for talking.
(He's my little baby)
“Historically, the fire elemental team has been the most competitive and cutthroat. Draco has seemed to follow that trend. Although, he’s not just working with his protégés to win, but also the council. Draco’s got enough money to keep the Council’s favor. He got the Council to to allow Nula to join there team and I am positive he will make the Council vote to have you adding to the fire team. So just be aware, Rvan, Draco could be using you.”
Rvan opened his mouth to object, but found he didn't even know. He had only entered this world of backstabbing and slavery three days ago. And he didn't know the fire clan. Rvan felt hurt, the shadow of the statues growing slightly darker in response. He looked up, back to Skylar, "W-What do I do?" His voice quivered silently, fear of the whole world crashing down on top of him again coming back and-
“Rvan?!” Thalia called from behind Rvan. “Oh goodness for a minute I thought we lost you…” Thalia stopped walking towards Rvan when she realized who he was standing next to.
Skylar eyed Thalia. “Long time no see, friend.”
Thalia’s hands curled into fists and her lips flattened into a strait line. “I’m not your friend.”
“No. You are right. I never be friends with a dramans who lets her emotions burn innocents to ashes.” Skylar snarled. “Be careful around this b***tch, Rvan.” And then, Skylar walked off.
